Myself, my mother, and my grandmother were all born in the yellow house that you see at 1:07....

I was there in 1997 after seeing, "The Hiding Place" in the 1980's. I was very moved to be there. My husband and I boarded a train in Amsterdam to visit the ten Boom house, and as the train went west toward Haarlem, I could see a long line around the Ann Frank house. Frankly, I think Corrie's story is more compelling, in a number of ways, but all Jews caught in this nightmare really had it rough. I am a very spiritual person. When I was in the ten Boon dining room, I felt the hair stand up on the back of my neck, and I sensed either the presence of the spirit of someone who had lived there, or of angels. A strange light was in the room. I will never forget it. I bought a watch from the ten Boom watch shop. I highly recommend that people go to see it. It was very high on top 5 things to do in Holland.
