Would like to comment about the first point - Quadwing investment. I would like to hear some reasoning why players travel from one planet to another at all. For example, doing daily missions that can greatly boost professions. Or maybe this can be really good way to trade with goods. And from this point - if the idea is trading goods, it could be quite risky to fly around the space. Maybe it is even better investment to use warps and pay extra. Another thing is that we should keep in mind that not only oil costs, but also thruster and it decays when you enter the space. Also , if we are talking about time saving - then warps is also saving the time, so maybe it is again worth to pay more and save time? Still, I do have a quadwing and enjoy the freedom it gives me :D

Avoid this game, its a pure scam, i don't know why its not banned. Wallet based pay to win MMORPG.

The best reason for tree harvesting is looter skills for hunting and starting with a 3 is bad. Just use the TT ones, far less decay unless you are hunting those rare materials.

one way to avoid pirates is fly at the top or bottom of space. as soon as you spawn at the ss, go straight up or straight down until all the ships disappear. then make your way to your destination. :)

Lol never played this game but watched a documentary type video on the planet calypso. That planet generates around 400 MILLION every single year, the company who invested 6 million into that planet made an absurd amount of money of dividend payouts!!!

My Quad lost 62 pec TT in about 1 year so definitely TT value is not an issue. before i had a 4 ped TT Sleipnire, sold it at 3 tt after 2 year. decay is negligible on those.

Have I got a tale to tell you. I played this game soon after it opened. I made a clan called "Fiend without a Face" I put over 10k into that game. My main clan had like 40 players not to high lvl, I was the only high lvl player in the clan. My second Fiend without a face clan, had 150 people. I put one guy in charge and he turned out to be a friend of gems. He kicked all 150 low level players then quit. When i started playing they had the skill branch "defense" I used to sit out in water all night with piranha and gain reflex and then go another night with robots shooting me and gain dodge. I di it all with a fap 50. would use it up and reload it for 5 or 10 dollars and do it again. Their was another clan called, I don't even remember there name but Angel was the leader and gem was the all around *ickhead. I would run 15 minutes out to kill a certain monster and gem would snipe me and make me run all the way back. gem would say to angel lets go kill some noobs and they would go where the noobs all go and kill them. I didn't like Gem, and worked my ass off to be able to fight him. They had this event where you could take land, and when people hunted on it you would get passive loot. Well Gem stopped every single attempt to get land for my clan so about 200 people got screwed because gem didn't want anyone but Gem to have land. Well, I got tired of gem, that little sniveling punk, I worked till Gem could kill me then i went after that punk. I killed his clan m8's while he was trying to kill me then i beat him till he ran away like the weakling he is. GUESS WHAT GEM THE FEM DID? Gem, went to his friend who created the game, and cried to them, they removed defense from the game "THEY REMOVED DEFENSE FROM THE GAME, FOR GEM"!!! NOW YOU KNOW WHY THIS GAME IS NO LONGER BEING PLAYED maybe gem is in there by himself, king of nothing. I wonder what other parts of the game were removed so gem could dominate everyone Any game that changes something that people have spent thousands of dollars to gain, is a cheat, along with the punk that got them to do it.

I played for over 10 years. I'd say no to getting into this game. Very little you can do if you get hacked and lose everything or killed in a PvP area. Keep your money outside the game. I played got over 10 years, fun game (when you can afford to go out) but until my account got hacked near Mindark's listing of an IPO/changing CLD's and my CLD's and AUD's almost everything other than shares were removed. Did I find out how useless support can be. Try getting a police report to try and get something done is pretty well nonexistent. No transaction records in case as well that you can see for purchases/sales transfers etc...

A little thing many don't realize. It's very similar to Swunting. I call it Swaming. I actually don't, but sounded funny so I said it. Take something like the L1 Bristlehog Pup. You sweat it, for 20 Sweat. At 1.4P/K, a pretty low but will move price for Sweat, that is 0.028 PED per Pup. Then you take your Whip and Tame. Depending on Luck and Taming Skill, this will take about 0.07 to 0.10 PED of Decay off your Whip per Pup. Well, you've got 0.028 PED of Sweat off it... now you get Shrapnel. I've gotten 0.10 PED Shrap off a Tame, which more than covers the Tame. But sometimes you get 0.01 and 0.02, obviously. BUT THEN you take that Pup, which you likely won't be able to Sell, and you go to a Stable and you murderize it into another item that REAL Tamers use... because we aren't REAL Tamers, we're just pond scum trying to eek and PED out we can. It's as close to Real Profit at a 100% Rate as you can get. The better the deal you get on your Whip the better your returns over that time. And the better your Sell Price on your Sweat, the better as well. Animal Essence Extract is what you get from the Pet Center Manager (what I called Stables). You get 1 to 3 Containers of Essence, with the possibility of a Rare Variant. The regular is 0.01 PED per... with a 145%-165% MU, while the Animal Essence Rare is 0.05 PED a Unit, and goes for some silly Mark Ups. So lets take 50 Pups, that gives use an estimated 5 PED Cost to acquire by Taming (at 0.10 a Tame in Whip Decay, which may be slightly high). You got 1,000 Sweat, which we'll call 1.40 PED. On average you got 100 Animal Essence, so another 1.45 PED. That's 2.85 PED, meaning you need 2.15 PED of Shrapnel over that run to break even. If you get an Animal Essence Rare in that span, you're likely covered. And this IS a thing where you can 'Hunt of 5 PED', a thing you should never do if actually Hunting, or even Swunting. If you're going to 5 PED Swunt... just Sweat, instead. And the kicker for New Players that haven't already ran out and got Skills slicing, dicing and shooting things... leveling the Whip WILL slowly trickles skills into pretty much all the combat stuff. So, at a much slower rate... but a rate you can sustain because you're breaking even or making profit, doing this will improve your Evade and your Weapons Skills for when you ARE ready to go and Hunt.

F2P players don't exist. Sweating costs more than the price you pay to run your computer. Also it's so time consumming, just imagine you want to travel to another planet. A ship is at least 30PED, plus oil 2PED, plus truster 7PED, plus 7PED to enter a planet So let's say 45PED. You get 1k bottles per 3 hours, you sell for 2PED if you're lucky. So you're going to sweat for 67 hours just to be able to afford to travel to another planet...

I wish the Codex would allow tracking of a selected creature and have those areas show up on your map. I've seen and collected online map guides to critters, it would just help so much if they integrated that. Thank you for the vid !

It's not a game it's a casino you wont earn money from Mindark only from other players . Threat it like so and you wont sink - a proper medkit in this game costs about 500$

One thing for #5 with the tree harvesting, from what I've heard it best to only use the PH-3 on Huge trees and the TT ones on anything else, this is because the TT ones decay at 2pec/use while the PH-3 decay at 10pec/use. Not sure how the tree loot is calculated though, if it's based on the input (decay) then using either one is fine, but if it's more static and has a set range of value per "loot" regardless of tool it would be best to have both on hand.

Isn't this the game with the real world economy? I remember playing this years ago then quitting when I figured out every missed shot from a gun was like 3cents, and that there was literally nothing to do for new players other then sweat animals

Melee weapons increases defensive skills better than a rifle or pistol. The best weapons are tt pistol and rifle and knife or sword.
