    Is your engine breaking excessive on trails due to the lightened flywheel? Or is it tolerable? Just wondering for my trail build

    hey man is this the 54mm high comp piston from DHZ site (54mm High Compression Piston Kit, 13mm Piston Pin, GPX 125cc, Daytona 125cc Engine) because i know the xr/crf80 have 13mm wrist pins

    I just bought a 2000 XR80r from a friend recently. I think i will be able to get into it this weekend but have a few Questions. What is the best carb size Upgrade for this model.? Stock is 20mm I believe.

    • @brucegordon4934

      Hi Ken 24mm for modified engine if your keeping the internals stock wouldn't go over 22mm and with a proformance pipe

    Bruce, I talked to you once before but I can't remember where you got that swingarm??

    • @brucegordon4934
      @brucegordon4934 3 роки тому

      so the original swing arm was a Franks racing product idea and my dad built it off drawings from Kelvin Franks in the 70s one off as I haven't seen or know of any more when I went to restore the bike the old swing arm was rusted and a bit rough in its appearance as my dad did all the fabrication so instead I search for a close fit and modified the alloy one to fit its originally off a 125cc pit bike but needed alot of tig work to make it fit but handles well and holds my 90 kgs

    What would you charge for the motor work? Looking to set up my 04' CRF80 to shred looks like everyone is going XR100 swap with the +R head. This is more responsive it sounds with the lightend crank and flywheel.

    Nice build! Sounds great! I have a 78 XR75 and just picked up a 91 XR80R, I have the front end figured out like yours (same set up as on my 75), the issue I’m having is the Rear Suspension, I was hoping to just find a longer full spring shock but the forums say that anything over the stock length shock (11”) will not work. I’m 6’3” and have my 75 suspension set to perfect ride height for me, and ideas? I wanted to post a pic of my XR75 but u tube ain’t having it, so I hope this link works. Thanks in advance Ron facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10211799358004316&set=pb.1380425771.-2207520000.1568402670.&type=3&theater
