This may have been a good performance but I stop watching when I see masks.

Somewhat self-indulgent. How can one properly conduct and suddenly ignore the orchestra to go off and sing? Yes, I know it's th LSO and it should be able to take care of itself. That's what I mean by self indulgent. Mezzo - quite nice but, again, the entrance bit? REALLY? It seems that many (thankfully not all) care LESS about the music and more about the performance. This was Offenbach leaning toward Taylor Swift style and will be forgotten just as quickly. What next? AUTOTUNE PAVAROTTI?
