noice set up mate
Just wondering if a year in from the video would you still recommend a kings trailer?
Well set up mate would serve you well. Nice idea with the companion cooler in the tent!
Great Video. Where in the Pilbara is this sink hole?
Hi Mate, this is out past Marble bar, up in the Rippon Hills
Mate, great cost effective set-up you have there....well done!
Thanks Mate, very happy with this, still no issues after almost 2 years.
Mate, you should be going DC to DC from your vehicle to charge the trailer battery/s when your driving! Great trailer!
Hi Mate, yes planning to set that up on the car as well to charge. Other job on the list lol. Being in the Pilbara is sun sun and more sun so the solar keeps up perfect. How ever, done a trip down south last month and was struggling with over cast days always. So yup. Need to get in to that one. 😁😁
Great info and setup.
Thanks.
Mate great video really appreciate it and love ya set up… how much was your trailer ?
Hi Mate, I snuck in With the EFY special. The trailer was advertised for $14,999 with a kitchen, pantry, roof rails, rear sliding draw, and basic battery 13v set up. I upgraded to x 2 batteries, 138ah each, an additional 12v control box, 1500w inverter, and CTEC DCDC. All up was 17k, all fitted and delivered to Perth.... Just can't compare anything else for that money. 2 years in and no issues at all.
How is your mt1 trailer holding after all this time? Interested know if there has been any structural issues? Cheers 👍
Hi Just read your comment and agree but we don’t like paying huge dollars for Australian made. thought you might like to see my set and how I use it Cheers Out There Touring
Nice set up, how did you fasten the drawers?
Thanks Mate. Used some small pieces of Alloy angle with big pot rivets on 2 corners. 2 others was small bolts. Works a treat.
@@off2adventure739 thank you, I am currently looking at purchasing an MT1
Great stuff mate, how good is broome 👍🍻
God damn, great footage of the Pilbara and the sink hole, the devil is burrowing up. I love the harsh Pilbara. People travel two hours out of a major city and panic sets in because the bitumen road got a bit rougher, no cafes on every corner and their down to one bar on their phone. You don’t even feel like you’re still in Australia when in the Pilbara. I ordered a MT1 and will arrive about mid Feb.
Congrats on getting one of these MT1s. Best part is they so customisable.... Yup Pilbara is a magical in its own rights. This sink hole is a different world altogether. Still working on the final edit process so be sure to look out for when I drop that vid here on my Channel.
I worked in Pt Hedland for 4 years and I also got into metal detecting there which changed the way I viewed the Pilbara from hell hole to paradise. Anyway I’m about to lay down some cash for a MT1 to work my way across the whole top end, and your testimony in this video is getting me excited. You seemed happy it’s keeping the dust out but have you taken it for a dip through creek crossings? Keeping water out is important too and it’s probably inevitable I’ll get a water crossing or two in my travels and have you had any problems that has made you stop loving the MT1? Cheers
Hey mate. Yes been through plenty of crossing, but nothing at a huge depth to test the doors for a lengthy period of time. I have seen lots of videos where they taking into Cape York. No issues to what was spoken about. Love this little trailer. Dine some hard tracks and still no issues.
@@off2adventure739 thanks Charlie, I’m going into Kings next week with cash and order me one, the bloke said delivery time should be mid Feb or so…
Hi there, Thought you might like to look at my Hilux set up for the big lap, was thinking of getting a trailer but didn’t want to tow and excess weight. Cheers Out There Touring
@@ottouring just watched your touring build video, a bloody neat simple build mate. Mitz and other companies have very well built gear, no questions there, but I have an off the shelf $2300 3 door aluminium dust and waterproof canopy, bolted to the factory Toyota ally tray, with solar panels, second battery and two 32lt Engels that I’ve had for 16 years. Now lithium is changing camping and I’m fitting out my camper with full lithium and solar to run a 3000w inverter, induction plates, kettle etc and gas will be a back up I’m a holiday worker of 10 years with van now changing to an off-road camper to spend the next 4 plus years working and zigzagging my way across the top, so I need a trailer to take a bit extra gear as this is my mobile home, and I want about 200lt of fuel storage for when I find very cheap fuel and for remote travels. Overweight is a very common problem for 4wds and a trailer will fix that and can make travels a bit more comfortable.. thanks for replying..
@@ottouring sure would, love checking out other rigs and how they are set up...
Gday mate, fark yea mate camping with the boiiisss in the bush all alone. The most hetero activity you can ever do mate. Ain't nothing gay about it.
Haha thanks mate. Solitary camping is always the best
thanks for the review of the camper (And did I see a BUSHIDO Cross good to see another brother online )
Hi Bro, sure did see the Bushido, I was teaching in Tasmania for many years. Sensai Charlie. 💪💪💪💪💪💪
From what I saw all that could be in/ on a canopy on the ute. What are the advantages of having it on a trailer please?
Trailer is a base camp mate. Set up once for several days and can explore with the 4wd with out packing any thing up each day.
@@off2adventure739 that's a fair enough explanation.✔️ Thankyou for your reply.
Nice set up you have there. I will pick my trailer up soon. Do you run a hot shower? Why do you have 12 recovery boards? 😳
Hey mate, thanks. No hot water needed as I'm out camping here when hot. Usually 40 degree days, so cold water is great. I am generally out solo camping, so do a lot of sand and dry river beds. Been caught before with no winch points. So I can set a bridge with all the boards in soft sand. Also I do recoveries up here, and a lot is on salt pans, so more boards the better. Congrats on getting one of these. They are just a great trailer. 🙂🙂
@@off2adventure739 multiple recovery boards. Smart. Especially towing a trailer. Especially when you know theres minimal winching points.
I have used them all several times when in soft sand dry river beds. Basicaly build a bridge to get put. 😊
Thanks for the rundown. Love the setup. Do you know if the kitchen benchtops (both slide out and fold down) are magnetic? Would like to use induction cooker on one of these!
They are stainless. So not much magnetic on them. If any at all, as stainless won't let magnets stick to it.
Imagine if you guys didn't stumble across him, he'd have been in for a long night.... Well done for giving him a hand.
Always think that also, if we never got them out that day, it would have been a long walk home for them.... Then a huge mission ahead for the recovery... As we come back from the recovery over the salt pans, tide was up and mub was flying for about 1 kilometre back to soft pan ground🤣🤣 I went back a few days later to find a lost recovery board and had to walk 3 ks in due to wet mud. 🤣🤣
Great video mate. I just liked and subbed for more!
Thanks..Still in edeting stage for the rest of this trip to the sink hole..
Is the swing out 720 awning weatherproof (a lot leak at the joins to the vehicle)? Would love to see how you rigged the shower/bathroom? Is there anything else youd do differently or have plans on changing?
Hi Mate. I havnt actually been camping in rain up here yet, basicaly if it raining here I dont go camping as every thing would be flooded..... The shower awning is attached by a big gate hinge.I have to modify the hinge and weld extra flat plate to it. I have seen them attached by a heavy duty draw slide, they would be better as they just pull straight out. To be honest if I would change any thing? Not really as I love the trailer more and more on every trip I do.....
Awesome run down!🤙🏽
Nice vid.. We have the MT1 also.. love it! just wish we could get out more with it.. Being winter doesnt help.. plus work. Anyways how much was the Awning and what mods do you need to do to get it to fit to the current bracket on the trailer? Fellow West Aussie too?
Hi Mate, I was lucky enough to but the Awning on EFY sales, i believe it was around $1100 for Memory. are yes the Brackets, well this was a bit of a pain, as I made my own from ally i had laying around, and had to make up spacers to fit. Actually the first design started to bend, so made some adjustment and strengthened it up. These are not quite long enough to fit existing brackets, hence the stuff around. I am trying to get time to do a quick vid and show the bracket set up and upload on here.
Great vid.
Thanks...
I'd love to see how you done the shower tent on a hinge, that's pretty cool
Flick me an email on off2adventure@outlook.com and I can send some pictures to you.
Shit that was a good over view of the trailer from the back of your car , well done
They don’t look bad, just a shame they’re bringing them in from China - like 97% of camper trailers nowadays. Good clip though mate 👍
Thanks Mate. I was hesitation at first and then seen how many was being sold, and no real issues. Most of the little problems was fixed under warrenty and adjustment / upgrades made in production line... Yer, most campers are made in China, and have a very hefty price tag. Considering most of the others have been around for many years and have ironed out all the bugs... These do go well, and looking forward to years to come at what it will be like...
@@off2adventure739 good to hear mate. Just a shame that so many are imported now. I hope you get many years of trouble free trailering ( if that’s a word 🤣 ) 👍👍
Hi Just read your comment and agree but we don’t like paying huge dollars for Australian made. thought you might like to see my set and how I use it Cheers Out There Touring
I love those drone shots. Also impressed with the camera mounted on the MT1 and how it keeps levelling itself. Nice video mate. :-)
Thanks Mate, The Go Pros now days are superior over the earlier ones. certainly see how much of an angle it gets on..
lookin good there Charlie
Cheers mate...Just have to edit the other 4 days worth of footage. 🤣
Hi mate can you show us how you changed the awning bracket
Hey Bud. Ok I will do a quick vid and drop on here.
That would be awesome thanks 👍
Tuff looking collie mate and good looking trailer. The stickers makes it look top notch
Thanks Mate... Yup, Stickers set it off nicely... Working on editing the full wall through of the trailer to see the set up better. I give the Collie shit every time, Damn thing loves it. Lol.
Hi there, Thought you might like to look at my Hilux set up for the big lap, was thinking of getting a trailer but didn’t want to tow and excess weight. Cheers Out There Touring
The orange bags on the winch line supposed to be filled with sand, and should not be just placed there empty.
No so much in have to be filled with sand when running synthetic rope, cable has the worst recall if they snapped... .But generally do have weight in the dampner if easily filled. This was just mud. main safety is having people out of the danger zone. These are all new ropes and gear as I consistently replace if showing signes of wear and tear. Biggest problem here was I could get much pulling power as it kept bogging the front down.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Excellent. No missing fingers. Well done. Keep the vids coming
Fingers are ok...Nerves are realy bad.. lol..
Wow well done just got too subscribe cheers 👍🍻🇦🇺
Cheers mate
Good video but the wheeling experience is limited, at least for this kind of terrain. Mistake one, going out there in the first place. Getting bogged was pretty much inevitable. Stay way back at the edges where there's grass. No grass = no go Mistake two, using a snatch on a salt pan. This almost always ends in the tow vehicle getting bogged as well. Stick with the winch. It takes longer but because it's more controlled, there is very little risk of bogging the recovery vehicle. The only reason you had trouble with the winch is because you had all already chewed up the ground leaving very little solid ground to work from. Mistake three, NEVER, EVER do a snatch on an angle. At best it will jerk you around like it did. You're very, very lucky it didn't do serious damage to your vehicle. At worst, you can roll the vehicle & have serious injury or worse to deal with. Safe travels
Yer true what you say. I was called out to recover the 3 vehicles and didn't have my GoPros set up for filming. This was off the phone only, most by stand byers.lol. Always try to do straight snatches, but this was a snot box were most of the time cant get traction, so I knew the ass end would skip around as couldn't get straight pull. So much wasn't videod sadly as snatched him already 6 times and bogged 4 times. Lived here many years and see so many people think they can drive in these snot boxes... much to their disappointment...
yeehawwww great video !
Is that kings in Malaga?
Sure is... They was spot on service.
Hi - I am looking to get one of these potentially to cross the Simpson Desert French Line west to east. Would be very interested in your comment of the likely performance of the trailer as such. Cheers
Hey mate, would be no issue at all for any track. So many people have clocked up thousands of Ks and no issues. I have dragged mine through some tough areas..Stay tuned as I have a complete run down of my set up comming soon......

Should show us your trailer set up!
