The Wyatt Family was perfect for Bray being this cult-like leader cutting this deep, cryptic promo, carried himself a certain way, feels very authentic. @@KrishanKumar-ec1ch the plan was for the nexus to win. the day of summer slam, the finish was changed. they told cce a ti put the nexus over, he refused and ended up apologising to edge and jericho for not listening to them

And from each of their stories we know about 90% of what happened. Essentially, Vince had booked Nexus to win, and specifically told Wade that Nexus were winning a week before Summerslam, as he was a huge fan of the stable; and that management was just working out who was eliminating who, but that the finish would be him and Gabrial going over. Cena came to Vince the day before the match and asked for the finish to be changed because quote on quote "He wanted Summerslam to have a happy ending for the kids." All of Nexus, were then told by Arn Anderson on the day of the match, what the finish was, and Wade immediately complained to Arn that they really needed to go over to which Arn replied by saying" it wasn't my decision. You need to go talk to Vince." Barrett and Justin finally after an hour were able to get a meeting with Vince to ask why he changed the finish to which he replied that "Summerslam needs a happy ending". John informed Edge and Jericho that he'd sorted it so they were put over to which Edge and Jericho told him that he was making a stupid decision, and went to management to get it changed. It didn't happen because Cena's word held too much power backstage. Cena went over. And a few days later, realising he'd effectively killed any hope for The Nexus, Cena told Edge and Jericho that he regretted the whole decision.
