What other kind of mods are there for astroneer
I can’t remember the name but just google astronner mods
What I want to say: 1. The model of reactor. It's not how actual reactor looks like. Make more details in it and add the smoke that coming from tube. 2. Nerf amount of energy it makes. Do like 100 U/s. 3. Want to see the big one. Make big reactor that takes 4 medium slots and provides 1000 U/s. 4. Make radiation system. Like protective suits, radiation sickness and gas masks. Not about nuclear: 1. Like you are using medium generator it smoke into the atmosphere and atmosphere getting worse. 2. Make the gasoline for rovers or made cars for this gasoline which consume this gasoline. Would be good.
1) the model is close enough and I’m no 3d artist, also reactors emit water vapour not smoke 2) Yeah I probably should 3) I choose mental stability (applies to rest of suggestions)

Sorry I won't be translating the mod mainly because the astroneer modding scene is already so small and I don't know if there is already a system for translations yet
Thats actually isn’t that bad but there are a lot of ways to improve. first of all, model of the reactor. Its very blocky and not very astroneer like. fuel rods are fine. Next thing is that recepies are very cheap. Especially fuel rods recepie. My suggestion is to make them from graphene and.. why not to keep astronium. Last one is to make reactor more complicated to use. There are a lot of ways how to make it complicated. For example overheating and requirement of coolant (helium or nitrogen) and if not treated properly reactor will explode! And balance. 40 rtgs are quite a lot if power even for less in a minute. So with previous changes i suggest to cut power output in a half and make it more fuel efficient. 1 and a half or 2 minutes of work. Overall this mod seems interesting and very promising. I always wanted to have nuclear power in astroneer. So i hope that you would develop this mod further. Wishing you best luck with future projects!
I do want to remake the model to be better and will likely work on that next. However I will keep the mechanics and recipes as they are because: The reason the fuel rods are only astronium is so they can easily be automated with an extractor, the challenge is enough to where its not going to be a power source you get super quick but it still can be automated so that it is viable, otherwise I think it would be "Too complex" to be worth it. Also the cost of the fission reactor is a bit cheap but Im happy with it because the challenge is automating the fuel rods. Also I want to keep the reactor simple because: a) I don't want it to be complex, imagine how annoying it would be to keep having to check in on it when it might be near the core of the planet. It should be a setup and leave kinda like most of the other astroneer power sources b) Im lazy and dont want to code that.
@@NeonBlast22 yeah but like 150/s? that seems a bit too op considering the highest u/s in the main game is the broken solar array, this is an easy 2.5x that for half the work(less even)

what about a hammer instead of just magically making the sword from gold and iron it is only now that i am realizing someone suggested a hammer
Yeah I am thinking of drastically changing the crafting system or adding “Advanced Items” as a way to make procedural items and a new anvil station.
Pretty cool Maybe later in development using a hammer to get any shape of sword could become a big part of the game. Maybe even sculpting the hilt
It would be an interesting opportunity to get good at procedural meshes!

Great start to a project. If you are open to feedback, which you probably are looking for on UA-cam here is what I would have to say, Looks like the blacksmithing is a core aspect of your game, and I’m not too knowledgeable on the art. But one way you could expand is use different parts of the anvil to take an ingot into a final stage. What I mean by that is the pointed edge could be used for adding a bend . And the flat side could be for drawing the metal out. Then the player would have to experiment with metal on which path to take, for example if you want a sword it may be flat, flat, point, flat. And hammer may be flat, point, point, flat. You could continue this thought by adding a forge/furnace that has to heat the metal up between stages. And a final oil quench to set it.

Make it VR supported it would be quite fun
Its a really interesting Idea as I do have access to a vr headset and have made a vr game in unity before. The main issue is that so much would have to change with the item and interaction system that it would end up being a very different game code wise. Really cool idea anyways!

I didnt even use special timings I just have 3 stages. Start seperatrons for clockwise, start seperatrons for anticlockwise, detach seperatrons. I would just eyeball the staging
