Yes they use better diodes. Or at least they say they do. But the reason they charge more is because they claim it to be higher quality materials. You’d think they would drop in price but from what I’ve seen, most of the hlg lights have gone up since I started buying them.

I wore em for the first few months until I got into the redwings. If anything, those boots are for aesthetics. I liked the look of them too. Not so much now though. They weren’t waterproof, steel toe, or kept my feet warm in the winter. The fit was on the tighter side. Maybe adjust 1/2 size but I could be wrong. That could possibly be too much. Idk I wasn’t wearing them for that long and it was before I was into boots. I still have them but I rarely put them on due to them being tight at the toe.

@@godisgod not in the near future. I have a pair of pbj nc-013 that I used to wear at a previous job but the whole point of those were to not fade. I like how black fades, I just don’t see me doing anything with em right now. My brother just got the ih fade to greys. Not sure of the weight but they look nice.

I usually wear under armor compression shirts but what you’re looking at are sleeves I bought on Amazon. I’ve found that the less skin you have exposed to the sun, the cooler you are. Plus I have less skin surface dirt can stick to. I always wear moisture wicking undershirts and I guess I’m used to it by now lol. My previous job’s uniform in the summer was way worse than this.

Depends on what you’re going for. If you care more about the dirt and smell, you would want to wash them more often. If you’re going for fades and contrast, wait awhile. It’s hard to say how long to wait because everyone’s activity levels are different. I normally will wait 4-11 months to wash my work jeans depending on how dirty they get and how much they’ve faded already. My first pbjs for work were washed at 11mo. The pair of pbj I have on now were washed at 4 months.

lol yup. But it’s not just the time. Someone can wear a pair for 3 years in their work office and still look practically brand new. So it’s time and activity.

@@sticksbegrowin625 long sleeve. 9oz chambray. One wash. And I got their biggest size. 46. I'm 6'1,185lbs with a 44.5 inch chest. Crossing my fingers it fits. I prefer the boxy fit too.

Yea I have. I really like their denim, I just don’t like any of the fits. So that’s enough to stop me from buying them.

Depends. If they’re sanforized, there’s no point. If they’re unsanforized and haven’t been soaked by the maker, I’ll go ahead and give em a cold soak. The temp of the water depends on the amount of shrinkage I’m going for. But I have some pair that were unsanforized and were washed once by the maker. So another soak would be pointless because the company already removed all of the shrinkage.

I try to compare apples to apples and I don’t have any carhartt pants so I couldn’t say. But IH will still rip and tear with heavy wear. Might take a couple more months than other denim but it’s inevitable. If I didn’t like the way the denim fades, it wouldn’t be worth it to me. The quality alone doesn’t justify the price.

Yup only took me an entire decade to understand how the rise worked lol. Didn’t even bother to look into it for at least 80% of that time. Insane.

Yup, loose fitting denim makes it harder to achieve those tight combs, whiskers, everything really. I’m too skinny for anything other than slim fits so it’s either the 013s or nothing at all. And I had to lol is it even a dobie if the ears aren’t done?? I think not 😂
