Why are the traffic lights so far away there? 🤯 I’m from SC and they are up close near the crosswalk .

You will be alone in an immensity. The day will dawn, but the mists and the clouds in the valleys may remain, and linger until the sun is well risen. You will see the mountains from above the clouds. A natural cathedral. A whole new view will open before you. It is like being in another world, which you are. The road curves endlessly, often under the canopy. There are deer, elk and bear sometimes on the edge or the road. They will disappear as the traffic mounts. The real shock is the quiet and the immensity. If you have never been, this will be a fantastic treat.

You missed so many good places in Hartsville. There are too lakes (one downtown that you could have driven over), Kalmia Garden (which you drive right past but didn't pull in), Sonoco Products Company, the area out by Walmart, Byerly Park (which you also drive past but didn't pull in; there's a big water park there with waterslides, splashpad, etc.). Not saying this was bad, but you can't give a good look at what Hartsville without being able to see what you're passing and also the small portions you drove through.

Seriously considering moving here. Retired Military.

Great video. I live on the west coast and I'm tired of the hustle and bustle congested life style. I'm ready for that quiet, country rural life style. I'm serious thinking about moving to south Carolina sometime this year. Because of this video, this city is definitely on my list 👍👍😊

I'm moving to Mauldin SC, it's right next door to Greenville. I find that area more cleaner and pristine compared to Spartanburg.

The yellow plaque on the right on the sidewalk at 10:56 is part of the Spartanburg Music Trail, plaques throughout the downtown area honoring notable musicians who were from Spartanburg. The church on the left at 13:42 is the city’s largest African-American church. Martin Luther King’s uncle was one pastor there and a 2003 newspaper article stated that Martin Luther King preached his first sermon there after finishing college. However, at that time the church was not in that building, it was in an older building a couple of blocks away.
