Dr. Cooper emphasizes the importance of keeping a regular routine to manage stress and avoid metabolic disruptions. The team shares practical advice for navigating family gatherings and enjoying the holidays without compromising your health.
Key Takeaways:
• Society's excessive focus on weight and appearance can be harmful; value shouldn't be based on physical changes.
• GLP1 medications need to be introduced gradually; skipping meals while on them can disrupt metabolism.

• Stick to regular sleep and eating patterns to manage stress and maintain metabolic health.
• Extreme exercise during holidays can raise cortisol levels; maintaining a consistent routine is better.
• Family traditions and memories are important; a balanced approach to holiday eating can improve your overall experience.
Personal Stories & Practical Advice:
• Andrea discusses her family's tradition of holiday baking and her evolving relationship with food.
• Mark shares memories of Scandinavian holiday foods and the comfort he finds in holiday eating traditions.

Your video content is amazing, and the quality is admirable! I like your video ,God will bless you.
Thanks guys
Thanks again 😊
Thanks
You have a well thought out site. With regard to low carb eating you may find the work of Dr. Eric Westman at the Duke Univ. Keto Clinic informative.
Excellent information 👌 I take Mounjaro and think this medication is life changing. I love it. Thanks!
Thank you
Thank you!
Good information. Thanks
This is Fascinating! Thank you! My daughter was born at term but very low weight and now 12 years later she is overweight not because of overeating and she's carrying it all in her belly. What can she do?
You need a more thorough look at carnivore. Many of us carnivores love veggies and fruits, but they don’t like us. I’ve lost visceral fat and put on muscle with carnivore. I eat 1-2 times a day in a time-restricted eating window. No need to snack. All my inflammation and metabolic markers have improved.
Thank you for this summary
If you eat STUFF made by folks in white coats, then expect to be treated by folks in white coats, or worse still, those wearing blue theatre scrubs. We are being processed for PROFIT and not being fed for health, by those that MAKE FOOD LIKE SUBSTANCES. Dr Chris Von Tulleken talks at great length and depth about UPF / UPP. Avoid seed oils / emulsifiers. *** Get to know what CHEMICALS you are eating. - We have been warned. CMC Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose For the food and beverage industry, Akucell® and Cekol® cellulose gum high purity grades provide multiple benefits such as improved mouthfeel and protein stabilization. Moreover, these grades can be used in various personal care and pharmaceutical applications. Industrial applications such as paper surface treatment, fabric care, textiles, and ceramics take advantage of the flow control, water retention, and film-forming capabilities of our Finnfix® and Calexis® CMC. In mining operations, Celect® and Finnfix®CMC products are developed specifically for mineral flotation and depressants. To control fluid loss and provide strong rheological control in the oilfield, our Gabroil® CMC and Staflo® PAC extend the performance of water-based drilling additives. AkuPure™ CMC is used in batteries and battery storage systems as a binder in the anodes and to reinforce the separator. *** Polysorbate 80 is a hydrophilic nonionic surfactant. It is utilized as a surfactant in soaps and cosmetics and also as a lubricant in eye drops. In food or pharmaceutical products, it can act as an emulsifier. *** What is carrageenan and why is it bad for you? Carrageenan: Safety, risks, and uses This food additive is produced by mixing a seaweed extract with alkaline substances. Scientists widely accept that degraded carrageenan, or poligeenan, can trigger cancer and other health issues. Poligeenan is made by mixing the same seaweed extract with acid. It is a powerful inflammatory agent used in laboratories.
I did OMAD, high fat 60%, protein and carbs in the 20% range, that resulted in 39 lbs / 18 kgs total body weight loss. I build more muscle than before eating the above % breakdown, Although carbohydrates are not classed as essential, ( fats and proteins are ) the human body seems to be fitted with the tools to produce and to digest carbohydrates. Many thrive without living off carbs, like Jordan Peterson and his daughter Mikhaila So to say they are vital is a misleading statement to make. *** Net search result yielded this - the same mantra that Prof Noakes preaches and many more that promote eating a meat based diet. Are there any essential carbohydrates? However there is no such thing as an essential carbohydrate. That being said there is no actual NEED for carbohydrates within the human body. If they aren't essential it means that the body can live without them.
If you stand for eight hours, you will burn an average of 206 calories per hour (the estimated number of calories burned by a 170 lb. person). For eight hours, the estimated calories burned is 1648. Ramp that up to 12 hours and it is a whooping 2472. And that is simply standing. Factor in going to and from the rest room, taking a walk after lunch - no doubt you could breach 2800, I would rather stand at my desk than sit and burn 1648 kcals. Movement, as in doing something you enjoy should be none negotiable vs doing exercise just for the sake of it. Bottom line - do not be sedentary and take on the resemblance of a couched cabbage / potato.
Excellent information
You forgot the best Exercise is Sex Exercise which I not getting enough of.
Good stuff! I’d love to hear more on how statins can lead to weight gain.
IMHO: NOW, I SEE THAT IT'S ALL OF THE DEADLY/HARMFUL "EXCITOTOXINS", THAT ARE ADDED INTO ALMOST ALL "PROCESSED FOODS", (ALSO, PET FOODS), THAT IS CAUSING MOST OF OUR MODERN "HEALTH PROBLEMS"!!!!!!!
I always exercise fasted. I always have. Im 49 years old.
Same here.
Nice podcast
It sounds like there are zero drugs to help with hypoglycemia. I know that some companies are working on long-acting glucagon (mostly being added to GLP-1). I have to wonder if this would help with hypoglycemia.
That was a much better podcast than I was expecting based on the thumbnail 👍
Love the discussion on low-carb diets. I have interacted with 4 different obesity doctor, and two of them actively promoted a low-carb diet. I feel like there could be a whole episode on low-carb diets.
Cancel her license. She is only encouraging people to stay irresponsible about their obesity. As a skinny person myself has gained weight to the point I became fat and then I cut it smartly and worked on building muscles along the way. These doctors are the problem with this world.
You didn’t mention which specific medications you had in mind.
Thank you 🙏🏾😊
Around 1990, companies started treating employees as temporary. It used to be that employees worked for one company for their whole career.
Thank you 🙏🏾
If you are recently diagnosed with type-2 diabetes and overweight/obese, losing at least 10% of your weight has been shown to result in remission in 50% of patients.
Disappointed that there was no mention that type-2 diabetics have lost 50% of the insulin (and amylin) producing beta cells in the pancreas. Reducing the volume of your body helps the remaining cells better regulate your blood glucose, but cannot fix the problem.
Sorry, but low carb does make your fell better and lose weight 🤷
Thank you for your content.. it’s really appreciated and seriously needed‼️
The "Tempo" genetic test can be found at Rhythm Pharmaceuticals under Our Research.
Why don't other doctors check ghrelin and leptin levels like Dr. Emily Cooper who wrote the book "The Metabolic Storm"?
Metabolic Surgery in 2022. Did less of a bypass 100 cm vs 150 cm. I have 40 lbs left to lose and am doing a low level of mounjaro to balance the remaining desired loss. Type 2 diabetic prior to surgery. Technically I still carry this diagnosis.
Stop this video and search Dr. Eric Westman, Bret Sher, Ken Berry, Pradip Jamnadis, Casey Means, Jason Fung, etc. Anything besides these shills.
I wonder what the "alternative energy source that fat turns into" could be? You just won't take about ketones will you? Not unless you're bashing ketosis. Curious.
I've been fasting 23 hours a day for a year and a half with whole food keto. I trail run mountains in Az and I'm off blood pressure meds. My body fat is as low as it's been since highschool 30 years ago. These people want you on medication.
If this showed up in your feed, turn it off and search Jason Fung, Pradip Jamnadis, Ken Berry, Calley Means, Bret Sher, etc. Do not listen to this. They are running defense for Pharmaceutical companies and processed food makers.
This is a joke right? Are you literally a propaganda arm for processed food? Pharma? Both? Literal clowncast.
Follow the money. Who makes more money? Wearable manufacturers or pharmaceutical companies. Hmmm...
Ozempic Ahoy!!!
Whole food keto with Omad style fasting lost me 70 lbs and 3 high blood pressure meds. Listening to this is actually raising my blood pressure.
Let's all get on Ozempic! Who's with me!?!
The proof of the pudding is in the fasting 😊
I read Jason Fungs book and reversed a lot of health problems I had (2 years ago), thanks to intermittent fasting. Intermittent fasting has been a game changer for me, and I’m not going back to eating more frequently.
Whether correct or not, you guys don’t sound very convincing. You haven’t explained the science behind why intermittent fasting doesn’t work - mocking is your main approach. While numerous other doctors provide better explanations supporting it.
Did you really read the scientific research on fasting?
very interesting! Thank You! May I ask why the patient changed her drug over the time? from Saxena, Trulicity, Ozempic to Mounjaro? Was there an effect that the meds didn't work anymore after some time?🙏
I love your channel so much
Thank you🙏🏾❤
