I stopped by Aldi this past week and bought a bag of frozen crinkle cut fries after not eating any for many months. I'm expecting some sort of craving to come along soon, now that the weather has cooled considerably. Don't know what the specific food accompaniment will be, but I want to be prepared when it does ! Comparatively few need to eat only nutritious food all the time, and one little square of chocolate, however good quality, is simply too meager a treat.

My European mother's favorite herbal tea was chamomile and it does have "magical" properties. Naturally induces sleep, settles the stomach and tastes wonderful with a tiny bit of sweetener. Whole grain bread is my regular purchase (croissants and baguettes are only a very occasional treat), but I was surprised to read your loaf was alcohol-free. I have never heard of bread containing such an ingredient. 🤔

I'm so sorry that you have been ill. Am hoping to avoid sickness and trust the two vaccinations---one a Covid update, the other against this season's flu variant---will prevent that boring, irritating down time of fighting then recovering from an ailment. Some or most of our daily routine is placed on hold and then we spend days trying to catch up. I send you wishes to feel better soon.
