You definitely have a lot of birds there with some nice covers and a lot of action. I'd like to see more of the dog work but you guys got birds flying all over the place. Great video though. Always looking forward to your next one.
“If I hadn’t been holding my woodcock” 😂
looks like fun to me ive never been grouse hunting
Definitely a lot of fun! Will also frustrate you though😂
Nice shootings. Nice griffs too!
Nice video, enjoyed watching. You guys are good shooters!
Thanks, not always the case. Got a video coming up that it didn’t go to well shooting wise😂
Nice hunt love the dog work. Looking forward to the next one.
Very nice especially with those shooting conditions!
Nice hunting y'all! Those woods look amazing!
That was insane! That looked like me the other day shooting at doves!👀😳 Feathers everywhere but no birds......I'm like, c'mon! At least y'all got your hands on some 🤣 From Sophia, N.C.
Yea sometimes you just can’t hit them to save your life😂 that’s why it’s hunting not killing
Nice footage y'all and for whatever it's worth, the whole area looks ''birdie'' 🤔😉
Congrats on the limit! From N.C.
Thanks!
This nw mn or west central?
Awesome hunt, awesome cook 🔥 Roll beavs
Love your videos! Keep it up!
Looks like the orr area?
I run a cz bobwhite g2 in 28gan and a pump .410 for all my waterfowling in minnesota and iowa. If you can put a pattern where it needs to be you don't need a 12ga 3.5". What part of Minnesota are yall from? I'm right in the isanti area.
Yep, as long as you shoot straight you don’t need big guns. We’re in the north central area of mn.
@@TateSand oh nice!
awesome video, love the sxs!
Thanks!
Bad day to be a teal 🔥
3 more days til bow season opens where I am 😁
Lucky, still got 16 days in mn
9 15 coming soon in michigan....getting a woody.... 😂😂😂
🔥
You are so fortunate to have private land where the birds are not constantly pressured. Makes for a great late season hunt.
Yes, very fortunate. Also fun to get out on public for the challenge too.
What double barrel do you shoot??
It’s a Ugartechea built in 1968
@@TateSand it looks beautiful! And you shoot it well!!!
@@the_Out_Durow_Boys Thank you!
Mr. Tate, many of us older guys would have shot that grouse while in the tree that you missed on the fly, however grouse hunting is the most challenging hunting there is and I do commend you for keeping it a real hunt👍 Thanks for sharing with us. From Coon Rapids.
Subscribed🤙🏼
I really like early season in September, yes it’s hot but I rarely see people and the birds are dumb and plentiful
Beautiful
What breed of dog is jaeger?
He is a German wirehaird
These videos leave me conflicted, if you don’t have a dog I don’t think anyone should be shooting birds in the woods, but I also applaud anyone getting out and doing it. It’s already hard enough to locate winged birds with one, and without one you’re leaving wounded animals to die painful deaths. As sportsmen we're obligated to provide humane deaths for any animal we kill, if we are doing anything less than the limits of our technology and skill we shouldn’t be taking the shot. Without a dog you’re looking at probably 30% of birds being winged and lost being very generous, with a dog that number drops a huge amount. Over the last two seasons I know of three birds I hit but couldn’t recover, but close to 15 that I wouldn’t have recovered without a dog, just counting the grouse, woodcock can be next to impossible to locate at times even if they fall stone dead. Not to mention the grouse I’ve shot and had no idea I hit and would never have known about if it weren’t for the dog.
Yes I completely agree with you. Unfortunately I don’t have my own dog yet, so typically once a year when I hunt by myself I have to deal with that. I never want to leave a bird behind, hate the feeling of that. So when I hunt by myself I try to only take shots I’m confident in and I always fallow up on every shot to the best of my ability. I hope to get my own dog someday so I don’t have to take that risk.
That's some great hunting you guys must have a blast. Awesome video. 👍👍
Awesome video, yet again! Are you guys hunting northeast Minnesota?
North central
@@TateSandI am up in the NW, just found your videos the other day. Gets me so excited for September.
Love your videos man. The habitat wherever you’re hunting here in Minnesota looks prime!
Great video with lots of action you definitely have some great hunting spots thanks for taking us along. Looking forward to your next one.
Loved the intro on this video. Thanks for leaving in a few of those misses too. My shooting (and vision and hearing) seem to get worse every year, and it helps to see other people miss on occasion!
You really ruffed up those grouse!
Love the video keep up the great job.
Great video! Love seeing your dad with you on the channel!
I had a male Brittany that worked really well. If my father felt well enough we would go for a few hours. I enjoyed walking the edges of low wet areas for Timberdoodles and fields for quail. The dog is long gone, and my father passed not too long after the Brit. I havent seen many quail when I go rabbit hunting. Never had the opportunity to hunt grouse. So Im gladdened to see you and your father together in the woods.
Why do you keep blowing out your barrels after you shoot, rather irritating!!
It’s a habit from grouse hunting, can’t keep shell pouches clean while walking through the woods. So always blow the shells off before putting them in my gun.
Really good video- you have some great covers and excellent bird hunting there. Looking forward to your next one.
Awesome video and great shooting! Only a few months left until season opens again. I can't wait! Looking forward to more of your videos this year. Good luck!
LOVE IT
This was an awesome video but I was disappointed that you couldn't answer the viewer what state you were hunting in. It's not like he wanted to know the closest town and what road you were off from. I'd never give up my hunting spots but I don't have a problem saying I hunt Michigan all of Michigan.
We were hunting in Minnesota
He's Back!
Great video tate sand

Great hunt. Thanks for taking us along.
Great hunting guys!!!
Were are you guys hunting new England??
What a great video! Congrats on the limit, I was trying all season to pull that off!
