Of these episodes, Attack of the Autobots has always been a favorite since I first saw it way back when. The second season is when the show started airing 5 days a week instead of Saturdays. After getting home from school, I would park myself in front the tv to watch The Transformers faithfully until the last episodes aired... even that "5th season."

Issues with Cliffjumper dying didn't start to way after the 86 movie and season three...that's when Casey Kasem walked away from transformers because of Hasbros racial profiling of their fictional character, Abdul Firati, of Carbomnia Car-bomb-nia. So rumor has been sense he broke contract then in 87, since then every future character of Cliffjumper is killed off. It started I believe in the Unicron trilogy, and been going ever since. Even though the actor is now passed on. But it started since Casey was still living.

I highly recommend the Marvel GI comics (both Uk and US), to get the fuller, better story of G1 and even more background on The Movie, etc. Robot Buster comes to mind here; a much better iteration of Autobot Spike.

Any of the Avengers here today? Well, Bumblebee has the same voice as Spider-Man. The same voice actor voiced Bumblebee in Transformers and Spider-Man in Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends. Frank Welker I addition to voicing Megatron, Soundwave, and some other Transformers also voiced Iceman but with different inflections. Spidey and Bumblebee sound EXACTLY the same. As far as I know, the Cliffjumper dying cliche started with Transformers Prime, unless you count the comic books which I know almost nothing about. When I watched Transformers as a kid, for season 1, we only got 1 episode a week on Saturday mornings. For season 2, with it having so many episodes, we got five episodes a week, one episode every day after school. It was awesome! The weekday after school line up included cartoons like G.I.Joe, Robotech, Voltron: Defender of the Universe, Thundercats, and He-Man, Masters of the Universe, and She-Ra: Princess of Power. Transformers now being on weekdays just cemented the fact that was when the coolest cartoons were on. I lived in an area that received broadcast signals from two big cities, so I had twice as many channels to choose from. When any of those cartoons were repeats, I had plenty of backup choices I could turn the channel to. These shows included M.A.S.K., Challenge of the GoBots, Transor Z, Inspector Gadget, Fat Albert, Dennis the Menace, and Heathcliff.

Cool to keep on with the show! Autobot Spike showed that Megatron uses his gun mode as a psychological weapon to those who use him in that mode. He does break free on his own, which is why no one tried crushing him. I won't spoil you on the question about the end of the episode. Autobot Gears was a neat spotlight on the old grumpy bot. City of Steel is one of the three episodes of Season 2 animated by a new studio, AKOM, where they were typically animated by Toei. To answer your question about why we complain about the Bayverse is because the robots looks and their personality don't match, the potty humor, and the focus on humans vs focus on the Transformers. Season 2 also phases Skyfire (he's not Jetfire in the cartoon) out of the show because the legal issues continued. However, assume that the time they take to get from the Ark to another place on the planet is because of him. Bluestreak is a different bot than Prowl but they come from the same toy. Just that Prowl is the police version of the same car, a Datsun (Nissan) 280 ZX. The other "Laserbeak" is named Buzzsaw. The original toy for Soundwave came with him, while Laserbeak was sold in a 2 pack with Frenzy.... er Rumble... the blue one. Ravage came packaged with the other one. Lastly, the chronological order follows the production order for the most part. The first 10 episodes in production/chronological order of Season 2 uses the cast of the characters introduced in Season 1, which is nice because you get time to know them a bit more than you did before. Dinobot Island introduces the new Autobots and Decepticons... without explanation other than they are now mixed into the ranks.

I’d like to see you react to the movie a second time, more informed 😊 In the 1984 toy release, Soundwave was packaged with Buzzsaw, a gold colored condor. There were two other packages of cassettes separately. Ravage and Rumble (red man) were together. Frenzy (blue man) and Laserbeak were packaged together. The best guess as to why they used Laserbeak so often is due to not wanting to advertise Buzzsaw, who came with Soundwave anyway. I don’t recall them ever mentioning where the series takes place. In the concurrent comic book, the Ark is located in Mount St Hillary. You might be noticing inconsistency in the animation from episode to episode. Due to the daunting task of creating more episodes to supply a five day per week schedule, and the movie which people didn’t yet know about, individual episodes were sometimes assigned to other animation studios. There are many drastic differences in characters between their portrayal in the cartoon and the tech specs of the toys. Take some time to read the tech specs 😊 Were something to further copyright strike you out of doing these at all, consider reacting to the comic books. If you do, know that there were two series. The US Marvel comics were monthly. Four issue limited series became around eighty issues. In fact, in the final issue, at the cover’s top, it said number eighty in a four issue limited series. This was clearly a joke and bragging. The UK would reprint all of the US issues. However, between reprints, the UK inserted their own stories in issues waiting for the next reprint. I should say ‘import’ instead of reprint because they were reprinting the US artwork into UK weekly issues for the Brits to see first time. The UK issue stories become even more fascinating after the movie. While US issues continue in present time, the UK issues are set after the movie.

I was there, man. I was in the theater at like 2 or 3 years old. I saw my hero die. It was the worst day of my little life. My parents had to take me out of the theater. I cried so much. I'm 43 now and that scene is still sad af.

oh my god how dare u torture me with that first one 😢. we only got to see it for short time but jen and lilia’s relationship was so cute. honestly there’s so many relationships and backstories they could’ve explored if the show was longer (jen’s backstory, agatha post nicki-prewestview,or even agatha in her original coven before execution, alice’s curse) but they did pretty amazing with the budget and time they had 🥲.

Countdown to Extinction was the FIRST episode I watched as a kid when it first aired and instantly hooked me into Transformers. Still think its cool Megatron and Prime temporarily teamed up and you're right about it being horrifying what happens to Dr Arkeville. The Insecticons were aboard the Nemesis when the rest of the Decepticons attacked the Ark. The escape pod activated them probably from after the Ultimate Doom, jostled by the shaking Earth, though its not directly stated. Ravage is a jaguar and the reason Plague of Insecticons first aired after Heavy Metal Wars was because of the legal debacle with Jetfire as he was renamed Skyfire in the cartoon. Beast Wars wasn't ORIGINALLY intended to be connected to this, but it eventually works out to be a prequel. I'd recommend watching it AFTER all of G1. Also, the first season that you're watching DOES have errors that were not present when they broadcast on TV. Unfortunately, they remastered the work print you're seeing a LOT more color mistakes than before. The Shout Factory DVDs for Season 1 corrected MANY of them.

Pretty much ALL Transformers lore began with the original cartoon and comics. As for Dr Arkeville, it was rather interesting to have a human villain even if only temporary. The three parter was only known as The Ultimate Doom parts 1-3 until the scripts were uncovered years later.

In a way the Predacons from Season 3 are the Decepticons answer to the Dinobots. Well at least the toy commercial presented them as such. And when you do a two parter for a toy commercial, it's something. The Insecticons have a ton of powers. Eating anything, and making clones is shared. Then Shrapnel can control lightning, Bombshell has mind control devices, and Kickback got gypped and can kick real hard. Their names are also refferences to their weapons. Kickback has a submachine gun, Bombshell a mortar and Shrapnel a grenade launcher.

Yeah, G1 can get quite silly. But that’s one of the reasons people love it. They dropped the Autobots flying thing later down the line. I guess the writers realized that messed the suspense a bit too much. Expect some occasional oddities like that on occasion. Like new characters appearing with no explanation in season 2. The stripes on Prime in truck mode is probably a weird design oversight. They probably used pictures of the toys as references for the character designs, but for Prime the photos had him with stripes in bot mode but none on truck mode. It’s a bit of a recurring thing.

In noting sites the episodes are on. While the official Bakugan channel has the widescreen episodes, various episodes are missing, are cut off a few seconds early, or are missing the occasional prologues. Though reuploads of the square versions from the TV broadcasts are on the site too. Almost everywhere, Seasons 3 and 4 are the TV versions.

In the anime, the characters can use any card they want from their own deck, the decks aren't infinite, though games rarely last that long to worry about it. The actual game has a specified amount of cards allowed, and you can only use the ones in your hand along with the random draw per turn.

The Bakugan Launchers did have a physical release, most of the gear in the show did, even those 3-ball clips the Brawlers have on their belts.

I remember watching "Heavy Metal War" for the first time at my friend's house, a group of us were watching it together. It was still only the 1984 toyline out. There had been commercials for Jetfire and Shockwave, and the Dinobots which were all part of the 1985 toyline, but we had seen or heard nothing about the Constructicons when we saw this episode. When they combined to form Devastator it blew us away, we were freaking out! A couple years earlier there had been a cartoon we all loved called Mighty Orbots about a team of combiner robots and Voltron: Defender of the Universe premiered the same year as Transformers and we all loved that. But to see a combiner team for the first time on Transformers that was just amazing!

‘The auto bots being vehicles vs the decepticons being animals’ Sounds pretty close to Transfomers Robots in Disguise (2001)

Loving this series! Just so you know, Ravage is a panther, so a big cat. Also, the reason Jetfire/Skyfire (same guy has two names) looked like a macross for a second because his toy actually was the macross Valkyrie imported! Also Beast Wars isnt really in the G1 continuity, more like it uses aspects of G1 as a springboard, but presents itself as a sequel/prequel. There are actually like 12 different shows connected to G1 but they all take creative liberties and some are connected and some aren’t. Tbh, even G1 forgets it’s connected to G1 at points lol, but there isn’t really a true sequel to G1, Headmasters is the closest but it’s in Japanese and retcons so so much like bringing chatacters back from the dead for literally no reason. Its widely agreed that the true American G1 continuity ends after season 4.

So the inceticons and dinobots are different compared to beast wars characters G1 they just resemble animals but are mechanical Beast wars is that they have synthetic skin to make them look like animals

Brooklynn at this point is the Winter Soldier of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory. I mean, both characters have gone through traumatic experiences in which they both lost their arms. Unlike Bucky, though, she didn’t fall of a train and got brainwashed into being an assassin. Rather, she faked her own death to get more done if everyone thinks she’s dead. Brooklynn’s essentially the MVP of the Nublar Six. And when Chaos Theory Season 3 comes around this year, someone give her a metal arm. And make it like Bucky’s.

Many animation errors here would have been fixed before original broadcast. Season two was so huge that mistakes slipped through. Also, there was a prominent female character in the comic book - separate continuity from the cartoon - who became a cyborg.
