A scenic ride on some lesser known trails in Amherst and Sunderland, MA, overlapping the Robert Frost Trail for a section.
I'm experimenting with the DJI Neo for filming mountain biking. The drone's "follow" mode can keep up fairly well with the latest firmware update.
In this video I have the follow distance set to "close" and the height to "flat." I think this is ideal for the faster sections since the drone keeps the bike in frame without cropping too much. But I noticed that the slower climbing sections are cropped too tightly for my liking. Next time I'll try increasing the distance and/or height when I'm going slower. Additionally, in wide open spaces, the "far" and "high" settings produce a very cinematic shot, so I'll be sure to try that as well.
As for audio, I didn't record any. I'll experiment with an external mic next time.
