Nice history of the church. So nice to hear about Fr Morissette. He was quite a maverick. He was a cousin. My grandfather and great aunt always spoke on how fun he was when they were kids. We went to Armand;s funeral. In '93 my parents went to the closing and my father passed away the next day.

Can you tell the monks I miss them I haven’t been there in 5 years cause I live in North Carolina my name is Nathan
I miss going here
I was there to see her house last year. I wish the town of Lowell can be fixed up. It is old but has potential. Glad her house is still standing and her name is one it.
why am i just finding out i live a 5 min walk from one of my favorite actors ever.
Beautiful Church. My dad rev geoffrey w lennan was pastor from 1972 to 1976. Many fond memories in youth group and as an altar girl.
Those are the very years that I lived in Lowell! I had a friend from college who sang at St.Anne's and attended services thee for many years after graduation. I am a Catholic, but in 1972 my friend invited all of us (we shared a big house!) to attend Christmas services and they were beautiful. I remarked that I could barely tell the difference in the service there vs. Mass at my own church! Another thing that I remember was the relatively low ceiling that made one feel like the church was holding you in a comforting embrace. The ceiling was also painted a beautiful shade of blue back then. As you can tell, this beautiful little church made quite an impression on me, as I remember it quite well even after 49 years!
Wow.. this could be any ancient Anglican Church in the original Chelmsford of Essex, England.
A beautiful church. A true testament to what can be accomplished with one's own hands! I used to play the bells at Christmas and for the occasional wedding... Climbing all that way up the tight spiral staircase until you reach the console. Such awesome memories!
So Crazy I grew up in the area & I was watching a movie which I found out was her first movie...I was wondering why she wasn't the "leading lady"...It was called I believe, "the bad sister" or something close to that & another women I looked up her name who was the "lead" I guess & I saw that it was their first movie-the both of them...It's crazy you couldn't even tell it was her at first bcuz you know she didn't have that confidence yet! the "I am it" confidence....I can't believe she was born & grew up just down the street from my boyfriends mothers house...crazy...I mean that is not the best area. However, the "highlands" of Lowell, back then were a lot different, the homes were HUGE & new & it's all located on a huge hill' hence the "highlands" on the edge of the city...It's about 35 minutes; give or take to get into Boston. W/traffic, let's say average traffice, an hour-ish.....yeah...You hit smaller "cities" when you get just outside of Boston & you head North & you continue to head North you start hitting the Suburbs & some really nice suburbs....Then you have a couple of cities in the middle of Mass & the New Hampshire boarder which were cheaper & "mill town" which would employ immigrants back in the day & so they became like city-ish....Lowell & Lawrence, MA...I believe though that it was a better place when she was born than it turned out to be & I am not out to insult anyone & I have family there & it's my stomping grounds but like any city it has some really good people who have been there for generations & good areas & then you have a lot of low income housing too & poorer areas....I will leave it at that & not say anymore lol...I love the area, one thing I can say is people from around there, no matter what you can judge them for, they have heart! If you have seen the movie "The Fighter" w/Christian Bale & Mark Whalburg....That is Lowell....in the 80's-90's & now....(The Whalburg's come from Dorecester, MA; which is basically in Boston). I remember the New Kids on the Block days, we would go outside their houses, lol..... But I see pics of old Lowell & it appeared to be very different. You see a lot of people have lived there generation to generation & look at Bette Davis, had she never gone into acting she'd still be there probably! The highlands are beautiful homes & I would always wonder how beautiful they were when they were brand new, which is probably around her age & so she couldn't have come from a poor background. They are all cut up now into 2-3 family homes they are so big....but I don't think it was like that then..
I live here
Wow I love it you get one star in two and three and four⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you very much Vennsa; much appreciated!
Beautiful video..inspired me to visit this lovely place.
What a beautiful video display of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
Such a beautiful church! I took a tour with a friend who was “church shopping” and we were impressed by the wonderful welcome we received from Damon. It may be a small parish, but they are certainly inviting and open.
Great video..my Dad is there

Very very very beautiful Temple n the song
great historical exposure...bravo, Polish National Catholic Church.....
What a lovely video, on an American history level it is superb, the grounds are well kept, plenty of wild life and beautiful scenery.. thank you for posting this great time capsule of history..
BEAUTIFUL
This temple is absolutely beautiful! I don't belong to this temple, and I'm not this faith, but the colors caught myEye. I don't live far from here, whenn I see this beautiful place. I'd wonder what it is, now I know, it really is a beautiful place. I'm glad to see something like this, we all have different faiths, but we all have one thing in common, we are all human.
I'm Catholic, but I have seen this video a few times, this is a beautiful church. I haveNever been there in person, but from what I see it's very nice.
The Church isn't the building we prayed and sang in. It's what we carry in our hearts when we step out of it. I am now a Buddhist, but I still carry what I learned at St. Margaret's in my heart and soul, and when in Vietnam feel no reluctance in stepping into a Catholic Church to pray with the congregation. But I end all my Christian prayers with "Nam Mo A Di Da Phat" after "Amen". Buddhism too is a gift for those who seek refuge in it.
Seems like it all zoomed by. Thanks for reving up my right brain.
My neighbor across the street when I grew up was Charles Lorrigan, a founding member of Engine 7 when it opened in 1924. He joined the department in 1921 and retired in 1962 as a Captain.
