Welcome to Classical Piano Vault!
Damian here, I'd like to share my passion and accompany a journey in finding and sharing classical recordings of the piano. The great pianists present and past, the upcoming performers and hopefully an extensive library of the pianistic compositions by legendary composers.
The channel is about helping UA-camrs review the recordings of their favourite classical piano music and build a library of the repertoire of your best-loved pianists.
My passion for the piano started quite late really when I began lessons at 10. I never looked back and have enjoyed playing ever since. I was lucky enough to skip many of the exams and jump to the advanced level ones but just not good enough to make it a career. I was lucky enough at University to give concerts and play on one of their Steinway Concert Grands regularly. I was even luckier that I had a girlfriend studying music who recorded me several times.

John Ogdon Live Recital Liszt B Minor Sonata Great Hall Moscow 1976
A magnificent performance by Ogdon at his prime. Showing technical brilliance and yet also subtly in Liszt's melodic sequences. Ogdon had quite an affinity for Moscow and relished this performance despite his battles with his inner self.

Fede: in my opinion this is a GREAT GREAT GREAT interpretation!!!
😂
@@satyr69 why not? It's good!
It's just incredible. Very different and he doesn't micromanage and fuss. Some passages are a sweep others hugely intimate but the narrative is always strong. A full bloodied deep orchestral conception. Love it!
