Nice one Quiet John. I have always been curious about these drive thru's. Still need to get out to Weiser. Looks like a perfect day you had. Appreciate your unique take on things, keep at it brother!
Greetings. Thanks for watching. It was so good that my wife went with me. We had a splendid time. I really like that area. So much more there to hike too
This video is full of surprises, with cameos from Mrs. Quietjohn, PA Lumberjack, and Smokey the Bear! Did I miss the reason there were so many people out there that day?
Greetings. Thanks for tuning in. It is opened up for driving twice a year. We hike or bike it all other times. How's it going? I just thought of you today. I did a no talk, no music hike in Locust Lake Srate Park on the Oak Loop Trail like you do sometimes. When is your next video ?
Also, at McWilliams Reservoir, there was a building with a lot of literature to share about state forests. Of course, many park rangers and conservation officers
Good video John. Nice meeting you Mrs. John. Weiser has so much to offer
Thanks very much for watching. I miss my Sea Eagle, though.
Love the dogs. Such a pretty day to paddle.
Thanks Barry. Nice place, too for a walk and picnic. It is the old Berks County Conservancy. They do quite a bit for our environment
Thanks for viewing. I went to thete after the Bob's Woods video to see what the Nature Place was. It is the old Berks County Conservancy
Yes, I will look there this winter. It's was good i picked up that strap. At that time, I didn't know where it came from. At home, I put it back on. Seat sits up better.
9at night watching 😊are there whales yet😅
No christening of champagne 🍾 for this beauty? Glad to see that the loss of the mighty Sea Eagle hasn’t marooned you permanently and the Lifetime looks to be a sturdy vessel. I echo the comment from Hiking Outdoor Family to look into a gel cushion for the kayak as it’s a game changer. I would also invest in some drip rings for your paddle as they are cheap, easy to install, and will save you from soggy legs and pants as they prevent a lot of that water that was running from the paddles down the shaft from spilling into the boat. Auburn Silt Dam played a pivotal role in cleaning up the Schuylkill River from the heydays of coal and is a beautiful, calm place to kayak or as a launch or take out for Schuylkill River kayaking. This is a stop on the annual Schuylkill River sojourn and then picks up after a short portage around the dam at the back where you launch from the stilling basin. Will have to join you for a yak next year! Keep wondering and wandering!
Beautiful day out there, in your new Kayak 😊
That's great you got a new kayak. The sit on top design looks really nice. I bet once you feed that strap though the back the seat will be better. I know on Amazon they sell a lot of aftermarket seats or even gel cushions for kayaks that you could add on if you need more comfort.
Something about the sound of kids playing that makes you feel good about the world. That looks like a great place to visit with the family, I want to learn more about tree identification. Always nice walking with you in the morning. Thanks!
Thanks John I’m putting this on next springs list of places to visit
What a great place for the kids to have to learn about nature! It looks like a beautiful area. I like trails that run next to water. Thanks for sharing 😊
This looks like a very pretty place. The nature centers are so nice for kids and adults to learn from.
nice little tour. John If I were closer, I would absolutely take my grandchildren there. Thank you for sharing, my friend!
Thanks John looks pretty interesting
Bob's Woods again!! I saw Lumberjack there, and I can't recall where I have been that I saw Bob Was Here! I enjoyed your walk throughout the woods! It's beautiful there! 😊
As soon as I started watching this, I realized this was the same place the Lumberjacks were just at. I've never been to this spot but will have to check it out.
I have been through Shickshinny. However, I have never been to Little Shickshinny Falls until now. It's beautiful country there! Thanks for sharing!
We are honored that you made mention of us! Not withstanding you have the information to add depth to a video of this marvelous place to hike! Thanks for sharing!
Also, i got Bob's last name wrong in description. It's Flemming, not Matthews
I mentioned that I would cut and paste LumberjackPa video of Bob's Woods and include it on my description. I can do one, but i don't know how to paste two videos on my description. Can anyone help?
Perfect music choice!
Love all the rich greene moss
Beautiful falls! I love listening to waterfalls sing a song, it's always a beautiful one!
Beautiful trail to the falls. That was a good look at the falls from different angles 😊
Very nice. As you got further on your hike, you could really hear the sound of the falls. Looks like it still has good flow for how dry it's been.
Thanks. I will return in the Spring
Nice place! Just walk a little further downstream and you come to a path that leads down to the pool at the bottom of the main falls.
Thanks for watching. I wanted to go further down but Panama Red was ready to leave. I'll go back in the Spring
One of the worst leftist mightmare town iv ever been to.
Most times, a trail offers its own beauty ✨️ Each it's own. Anytime spent out on a trail, no matter where it is, is time well spent. The destination at the cabin was wonderful ✨️
The area with the cabin and the stream was really beautiful. Glad to see you've been enjoying this beautiful weather. We have been hiking even more lately because the weather has been fantastic.
What a fabulous view at the top! One could sit there quite a while and just soak it in. Earl Grey is my favorite tea, from Twining's of London, of course! 😉
Thanks Ruth for viewing. I appreciate your support. Yes, Earl Grey tea. How about that? It's a small world. Just another way we can relate. Have a great day.
Great park. I love the chairs at various spots throughout. I knew you wouldn't pass those up😊
Thanks, Dave. There were many on that trail😊. Thanks for watching. Small park. Good dayhike
Thanks for the video!
Well Thanks for watching. I enjoyed the history there. I invite you to watch part one. If you haven't
Beautiful park! I enjoyed hearing about the Detwiler family. As far back as time, people enjoyed hiking trails 👣 Look at that!! A perfectly placed chair! I love those 😊 I always look for trail love while out and about. It's when nature has a heart ❤️ along the trails 😊
Thanks John. Perfect lunch stop
That was a great spot to have lunch at those Adirondack chairs.
One of my favorite places to walk. I like the meadow in the middle with lots of milkweed that attract the butterflies.
Thanks Joel. I'm glad you enjoyed it there. Second part is coming
Nice walk thanks for bringing us along
Greetings. Great to hear from you. I hope you are doing fine. Thanks
It is just beautiful out there! The pond is beautiful. I love that covered bridge! It looks similar to one we went to in Oregon this year. I enjoyed the walk through 😊
Thanks. That was a great two day trip in that area. I've been going up there for 40 years.
@@quietjohnoutandabout6578 I love being able to go and revisit wonderful places like this. It makes such a difference when you get to grow with an area 😃
Great shot of you at the pond under the trees. 04:49 That’s fun there’s no designated trail just find your way around. Boy that soda in front of that shop made me start to miss the summer already! Great walking with you!
Greetings. Thanks for walking with me. Hidden gem up there. I kyacked there two weeks prior. Accidently deleted videos I filmed.
