I agree with that your ideas can also be applied to my type of work as a crowd safety officer by presenting yourself in a professional manner and being early and wearing the right uniform and doing what is asked of you by your boss

if you ask or need a discount you can not afford it and not rich enough to warrant a chauffeur professionnel driver

if a client calls you, and asks you "how much will it be from street A to street B?" can you instantly name a price or tell the client to wait on the line to look it up? i feel like sometimes maybe they dont think its professional if i have to put the adresses in google maps first and look at the kilometers before i can name a price. or after a ride client asks howmuch will it be and i pullup my calculator to do the distance traveld x per kilometer price. or is this normal to do?

If I am taking care of a problem, I prefer to give a free ride, than a discount. The customer doesn't expect you to work for free, so they appreciate your gesture and don't expect it all the time. Another technique I have used when dealing with bad situations where our service failed, is to ask the customer to pay what they thought the service was worth. But I would never give a discount just as a random gift.

Your right!!!...last month i gave a client a discount for being my first customer...it was a huge mistake. I did it to impress them and ended up embarrassing myself. Good to see your new video. Thank you for all the advice you give to other chauffeurs around the world

Get Chauffeurs to strike at the Airport and get the Taxi drivers to join you. We did in Adelaide but got some improvement. The passengers will complain to management.

Uber always gets the best of everything at airports and I can't understand why. Did you know they built Adelaide Aiport without Taxi and Chauffeur stops? Now they squeezed us in and it's a nightmare. When it first opened, there was a drop-off stop and a pickup stop for Passengers now they are at the same spot as the public, and it's another nightmare. After decades of an old airport that worked well, we got a new one and it they destroyed it. Taxi pick-up is off to one side and not in the front anymore, chauffeurs are even further over and Uber is in a better spot than us.

Please Keep your hands on the steering wheel. The elderly need a business card. Sometimes you have to give out business cards. I don't because I don't want to be bugged 24 hours a day. lol, I do get word-of-mouth jobs, and a lot of them (because the people who talk about me to others are due to them being stuck at 2 am one morning and they contacted me from a very old ad and I did it, lucky I was still up) and I do go through a booking system and they know if I am available or not. The system allows me to get someone else's job if they can't do it then I get it.

Some people out there treat chauffeurs as uneducated and dumb people. Yep even with high society. Got that behaviour many times. I stop doing chauffeuring for a while and drove taxis and buses. Ready to go back to chauffeuring and for myself and not dealing with crap. I use to be a financial revenue officer and saved a couple of multimillion businesses and got paid below average wage because thats how it was back then. Also volunteer fire-fighter / ambo officer. To be treated like crap isn't my thing anymore unless i am paid big bucks now to shut my mouth. My new car is coming soon and hopefully with my knowledge and experience in all the above, i am going to make a decent wage.

I wouldn't put water bottles on the seats. Should put them in cup holders. Looks nicer and more professional. You can get some fitted.

So are you saying in NSW that you don’t need a Drivers Accreditation? What about Police Checks, Medicals, Children Checks and so on?

I would suggest the following: Work for a chauffeur company to get experience for 6 plus months. Ask questions. Tell your friends and family you are starting your own business. Business contact cards with times of operation and booking options. Approach pubs, hotels, doctors surgeries etc. for extra business, leave cards or flyers Post flyers on shopping notice boards. Register with Uber, taxis companies offers that ride share. There are other options but the above are good starters. always be clean and smell nice and not overpowering. Go the extra mile.

Good video that I work as a Crowd Safety officer in stadiums and Events but what you said is true ur principles can also be applied to that role that's what I try to do considering getting the Mazda 5 similar to a Berlingo but more modern and with Sliding doors

I like that video I try to follow many of those principles in my role as a Crowd Safety officer different trade but still Customer service I'm often early when fuffiling a job sometimes 3hrs early and it's knowing who to build a rapport with som fans I engage with many I don't wish I was well enough to do full time part time suits me good videos

Great suggestions, but before you get to involved check your local DOT/ MC and for hire rules and regs. Insurance is quite expensive, bonds, and some states require Authority to operate from the DMV. It can be rewarding, but insurance can be a deal breaker 1.5 million for under 14 passengers and 5 million for over. Any driver over 14 passengers must get a CDL and DOT physical, Its not for everyone.. Good luck and stay legal
