500 grams of butter will make about 400 grams of ghee.
To get better aroma from the ghee, you can add in a betel leaf (paan) when the milk solids start turning brown in colour.

I have used 2 blouse materials (polyester) approximately 80cm each in length. Folded both the materials twice and secured it with a pin. This makes approximately 2 feet long garland.
