I remember when the first series of the RM line up replaced the TM line up and what a game changer it was for Suzuki. The one RM that for some reason seems to fall under the radar are the first RM 125's that looked like a TM on steroids. Still sporting a down pipe and non leading axle forks but with the shocks in a mid mounted laid down position looked so radical and cool. I remember the Suzuki ad for that bike showing a rider in the classic gear of the era standing next to it with the caption "This bike is going to scare the hell out of the competion". Speaking of riding gear of the era, modern riding gear on a classic vintage motocross bike from the mid 70' just looks wrong.....looks like a cool place to ride a old school bike though, Im jealous

I loved the '76 but the '77 even a little bit better, they went to leading axle forks and added remote reservoir rear shocks if I'm remembering correctly. I never got either but I did have a '79 and then the awesome liquid-cooled '81 Full Floater

My 1st real bike, last year for metal tank. I rode it in the snowy winter trails and roads year round, chased by cops, so many great memories....
