Establishing Electrically Safe Work Conditions: Deep Dive into NFPA 70E Article 120.6
This free training will explain how to comply with the NFPA 70E 2024 edition requirements for establishing electrically safe work conditions (ESWCs).
NFPA 70E Article 110.2(A) explains that employers shall establish a policy stating that electrical work should only be done on deenergized systems unless there’s essentially no way around it. While not always possible, you should shut it down if it can be done! Qualified workers must follow the steps in Article 120.6 prior to starting electrical work for anything 50V and greater.
Watch as Caitlyn Wininger (CESCP, Electrical Engineer) and special guest Alan Bond (Global Product Manager at Panduit) give a crash course on establishing electrically safe work conditions while limiting any potential exposure to the hazards!

Great seminar. I have a quick question regarding arc flash studies in sort of a gray area if you will. Specifically farms. Some farms have 3 phase power for operating larger motor load (ex. grain dryer, milker, silage conveyer) run to the barn, while the house is single phase but fed off the same transformer bank off the road. (In 2005 when I was 16 moved to my stepfather's farm and we had an open delta 120/240V 3 phase service, barn had 3 phase, house was single phase. There were no arc flash labels anywhere. The farm didn't have electricity at all until 1947, the 3 phase was added in 1993, if that helps. To simplify my question, are there different standards and regulations regarding electrical safety for farm settings with 3 phase available than, say in an office building or large commercial/industrial building with 3 phase power.
