Pollok vs Beith 22/12/2007
Переглядів 61216 років тому
An ironic choice of song for this particularly underwhelming Junior affair, battled out between Pollok and Beith. A disappointing lack of violence made for the 'football' coming to prominence and Iggy Pop could have probably got a game for Beith, the finishing was so poor. Robert Downs scored for Pollok near the end to win the match for the home side.

Would love for someone to re release their third record Everybody Wants To Shag The Teardrop Explodes.
U2 should be put in a vault with Bianca Jagger, Rupert Murdoch, that facebook wanker & some others YOU think of now.
What’s it all about, Allie?
i didnt know charles bronson played in the brass section for teardrop explodes.
I saw them perform in New York back in the day. Great sound!
Loved them. I still do! Their first album never tires me. They are pure Liverpudlian Brilliant!
Apart from the Welsh bloke from Tamworth...
I like the little bandanas around the boots. Keep waitin' for Julian to break out the safety dance.
Does anyone know why The University of West of Scotland doesn't offer this course anymore? Thanks.
Does anyone know why The University of West of Scotland doesn't offer this course anymore? Thanks.
this was the longest lasting line up for the band. but the best line up was the one after.
Preferred the lineup before this. Balfe, Copey on bass. ❤
great band of the 80;s to bad they had a short carrer
+anthony jimenez sr errrrrrrr julian went a bit bonkers after the second lp started calling himself kevin and lived witth a goat
+greg bruce Wrong! It was the Goat that started calling him Kevin. And it wasn't like they were married or "living together" in any Biblical sense of the word. So get your mind out of the gutter. The implication that Julian (Or Kevin) was actually having relations with a Goat is beyond any sense of simple speculation, and you really should be ashamed of yourself. And at that point, he was relatively sane, he didn't go "bonkers" until after shooting the cover stills for "Fried", and considering he had to spend two weeks superglued inside that turtle's shell, it's no wonder he was a little bit tense. Whoever had that bright idea shouldn't have been allowed anywhere near adhesives in the first place. Health and safety regulations obviously meant nothing to this dangerous liability of a man, and his blase attitude towards what is really a very dangerous cyanide based chemical is reprehensible. Imagining the potential consequences of that episode still makes me shudder to this day.
Bet the goat started wondering "What's wrong with this dude?".
Perhaps less drugs would have done the trick??
BubbaZen10 The drugs were the only thing keeping the goat sane. You can't just cut them off. And unless you're actually . . . . y'know, a Vetinary Surgeon, then you shouldn't be making a diagnosis like that. There might be kids reading this thread.
Rocky Dwyer on drums. Cool as fuck!!!
Ha, Tony Levin on trumpet
He's got a great live vocal delivery.
Wondering if you can help me mate , is a Higher in Physics a MUST ? I have an A at Int 2 level but wondering if i need to now go to Stow College to get the Higher degree !! Thanks.
I dance to this song all the time.
simply great..what a band
Genius (and that is not a word I commonly apply).
@alansready you don't like julian's solo stuff? wtf!!!
Brilliant!!! Thanks for sharing.
The Teardrop Explodes are one of the most underrated bands of the 80's. Why they never got more recognition is beyond me.
where was this filmed?
MKQP... Did they open for U2 at this show? Just wondering. Nice one. Thanks.
Ooh, I used to have this on VHS. I'd forgotten it. Aah, Gary Dwyer's hair. Bless him. Copey's is an absolute state. :-)
amazing tension
Great clip. Thanks for posting ;)
Fitting that an Arsenal fan should be singing the song. Come on you Gunners!
they both had versions of ( read it in) books.
Which I don't have here and deeply miss... My first teardrop sighting on UA-cam. Kind of special.
yes ian is in echo and the bunnymen and another bit of trivia is that he gave them the name of their first album kilimanjarro
ian mcculloch was never in teardrop explodes wikipedia is wrong and the crucial three never actually did anything before they split up
But that is then apparently wrong. Read Copes book on the band.
...with Pete Wylie.
ian mc culloch was never in the Teardrops,he played with Cope in a band called The Crucial Three !
The Crucial Three never actually played any gigs anywhere, it was just a name they toyed with using
Ian McCullough was in original group in 1977 prior to forming Echo and the Bunneymen.
ian mccullogh was in tear drop exlosed at least that is what it says in wikepedia.
i will tell you waht is amazing two brillant people in wone band.. Ian Mc and Julian,, no wonder why i love them so..
Not bands, but early Teardrop Explodes tracks, worth checking them out :)
this band is genuis Cepoe is jsut brillant
are those two bands with cope?? please tell me??
i forgot all about this band it is just great.. he is so good in these two albums but i do not like him in his slo career.
Spidermongous! We shall never forget ....
Wow, Teardrop Explodes were the first band I ever saw live, Autumn 1980. I would love to see Treason, or Bouncing Babies.
Great tribute.
fantastic, thank you for remote the good old times....
Does anyone know what this clip is from or where you can get more?
Hey this is fantastic! Thanks! Have you got more from this show? Or the '82 Whistle Test Special?
