The beanies are only in the server. You do earn cosmetic items for each challenge and you keep those rewards.
I’ve tried the milk bucket 1 100 times but it won’t save when I finish he challenge any tips on why it won’t save (btw I’m on a PS5 if that has anything to do with it and it’s my last beanie challenge)

When you earn the cape you will be able to use it on both Java and Bedrock. As of right now, the only way to earn the cape is through the Bedrock Edition. I am unsure if they plan on doing this event on a Java server as well.

Yeah if you disconnect your progress won't save unfortunately. You'll have to go in and do the challenge again.

All you have to do is subscribe to a Twitch streamer who has their drops enabled on their channel. Most big Minecraft creators have them enabled right now. My Twitch channel also has them enabled!
