You could be the BEST scale modller in the world and know everything there is to know about modelling. Well way back when you also knew nothing about modelling and you either learnt the hard way by trying and failing or occasionally fluking it and getting it right OR you learnt from others who knew more than you did. As you say if you think they have tried and failed ask them if they would like some advice or suggestions to help them with their next model
Hmmm....my wife likes to feed wild birds....same style bucket and we toss one out every 3 months or so. I also have am HVAC system that I have to cut the filter for. I have scraps that cant be used in the HVAC...again, use those (they are the "reusable" style). Now to build the booth!!
My son has a cat and he was throwing away that same bucket so I took it and used it the same way you did. Excellent little cheap trick.

Do the glass files wear out? Being glass do they break easily?.
@DayTwo-w8n The glass files last a lifetime. They are temper proof glass so they are very durable. I use mine religiously and they are phenomenal. Well worth the investment all ickysticky products are very reasonably priced and won't break the bank. There products are amazing and better than anything that is offered over in the states that's why I became the first U.S. retailer for there products and I'm proud to offer them.

@Mannysscalemodeling Thank you my name is Ed Bob was my pop who I lost 3 years ago. My business is dedicated to him and he is the reason I got into models at the age of 6. I offer the best products I can and both Australian based companies are also a family business not production like the rest are. All of there products are packed fresh to order not sitting in a warehouse waiting to go out. All of us care about quality not quantity and I'm working on becoming a Gaahleri retailer as well because there are also modelers doing for modelers just like ickysticky and Outlaw along with myself.

I know how you feel about cleaning off all the edges and blemishes off the engine, when you can't even see half of it. I've just about finished a Hasegawa Jaguar XJS and I've got another one that I've just started. Both have the amazing Jaguar V12 engine which is a beast of a thing. I've spent hours cleaning off seams, filling ejector pin marks, and getting rid of every tiny little mould line, yet once it's installed in the body you can't even see 90% of the engine, but I know it's there, so I clean it all up anyway just in case you get a glimpse of it.
@davidorr6627 I agree I'm the same way and for a great quality finish with your model sand, sand, sand all the mold lines away.
And that is *EXACTLY...* my mentality when I am doing my model car kits too,I cleans everything and everywhere where there is a mold line or when I put two halves parts together!!😊❤️

My local hobby shop down here in New Zealand stocks some of the Icky Sticky products. They are definitely worth buying. The set of extra fine sanding papers is excellent. It goes from 3000 to 15000 grit. The latter is basically like a piece of paper, it is so smooth. I've used them for polishing clear polystyrene windows and they get rid of all of the fine scratches. Once finished down to 15000, I polish them with Autoglym car polish and they are clear as glass. I've also got the Icky Sticky black CA glue which is great for filling small gaps in spots that are dificult to sand if you use putty. They do a great pack of masking sheets which are nice and thin.

If they are files not sanding sticks files only work in one direction not bac k and forth.
@michaelpitcock5445 that is incorrect these are glass files and they work In both directions. These are Australian made not that Chinese garbage.
Thanks for the heads up on removal I hadn't cross that bridge but now I don't have to make the call of shame to the Buffer LMFAO.
I appreciate you sharing, especially since I've been looking for something like this ,( CHEEP ) !👍 I live in an apartment and I have to go outside when I need to spray , and it sucks.. But this would work perfectly , plus it would be easier to put away after using it.. 👍

@wombat_models Thank you that color was actually a touch up spray can my pop had for his 85 chevy truck. The Tazz is hand painted by me I use to pinstripe cars and do hand painted pics on people's cars.

@ernestgalvan9037 it's packed very well it comes all the way from Australia. I am a Outlaw Paints Retailer and it was definitely the carrier it actually happened in customs because it was taped up with there tape that said customs on it. It is not my distributors fault all my packages are always packed well.
