Smol tanto? The other smol tanto I have is the Kershaw Zing from back in the day. That one didn't have the compound grind and I king of like that sort of "faux tanto" as a result (the false edge is there but the thicker tip from a compound grind is not)

FINALLY SOMEONE SAID - EDGE RETENTION IS THEE KEY MARKER (of the 3). for me, tuffness 2nd, corrosion resistance last. I do live in the desert, so go figure. I love sharpening knives, I am quite proficient at it. Regardless of that, I'd rather run my knife and not have to deal with cutting something while it is dull.

The point of super steel is not that it is good in 2 out of 3 categories. The point is that it combines 2 or 3 categories that are actually physically contradictory when you consider normal traditional steel alloys. This is not the case with 14c28n. The steel is closer to simple 420 than to a super steel.

I have quite a few italian knives (fox,mkm,viper,lionsteel) and they are a bit overpriced but the build quality is good but for whatever reason they seem to have pretty stout lockbars on both framelocks and linerlocks

Not being able to quickly replace the x0 battery is a huge fail. The e7 will be more useful for extended use. That single reason rules out the x0 for me.
