Chicago Ratna Shri is a Tibetan Buddhist center in the Drikung Kagyu Lineage, an 800 year old lineage full of realized meditation masters and scholars.

We are located at 1038 Woodlawn Ave, Des Plaines, IL 60016. We provide Tibetan Buddhist teachings and practice throughout the year, currently with White Tara and Medicine Buddha practice twice a week, in addition to weekly teachings on Milarepa. We host multiple Nyunge retreats throughout the year, in addition to special practice days and retreats.

Our primary teacher is HE Drupon Rinchen Dorje Rinpoche, an accomplished mediation master and expert practitioner. Drupon-la has spent 6 years in retreat in India and Nepal, including the holy retreat site of Lapchi. Additionally he is the retreat master at Garchen Buddhist Institute, where he has guided numerous practitioners through the traditional 3-year retreat curriculum.
