Melody could sing in key. She should’ve worn a mini dress & her hair down. Also, she should’ve been included with the dancers. Instead, they had her dressed up like a prison matron.

I've often wondered what it would be like to be in the studio audience of a lip-synched, mimed performance. You bought a ticket to see your favourite band. The band is introduced and then, from some house sound system, the original recording comes out. The band has no mics, the instruments have no cords, there are no amps. How would anyone not feel ripped off?

I simply loved the Dave Clark Five and Paul Revere and the Raiders. It is so much fun to see them the way I remember them waaayyy back then. It was a great time to be a teenager. I'm 76 soon and still love their music, looks and energy.

Guessing this s early '66, and this was the end for the DC5. The Beatles released Revolver in 1966 and these guys were just not up to the task. The Hollies tried and did a better job because of good songwriting, but they also faded before the hits in the 70s. The Stones were good at copying the Beatles and had good songwriters. Love the DC5 but they just couldn't keep up.

Dave Clark 5 is a group they need to bring back because this certainly was the good 👍 music.🎶 Tonight they certainly did Rock the house down the group from Tottenham, England. I remember when my Mom worked in a department store and she knew I like the Beatles this was back in 1964. I was 8 years old at the time she bought me the single that the DC5 performed here on this video. That was “Can’t You See That She’s Mine” they need to bring them back along with the Beatles, Stones, and Del Shannon. 1964 was a hit for “Can’t You See That She’s Mine” I’m 68 years old and…Who’s still listening??? I only listen 🎧 to great 👍 music because it…ROCKS!!! I had the single in 1964!!!

I had picked up the Poor Baby 45 as a cutout at Woolworths when I was a kid (A cutout was an unsold record that usually had a hole drilled in the label area and then sold at a deep discount.) I liked the song, but as much as I have seen the Cowsills wondered why I never heard it played. Now I know the rest of the story. I still have the 45 this performance was a treat.

In the spring of 2004 the rock band I played bass with, TIME MACHINE, held a benefit show for Mike after learning his funds had been used up with hospital bills regarding his broken neck. It was an all day outdoor event hosted by one of our favorite clubs, The Upper Deck. Turn-out was good and guest musicians were welcomed to the stage. Naturally DC5 covers were featured. At one point in the early afternoon, Stephanie the club owner came running out of the bar with a phone held over her head shouting; "HE'S ON THE PHONE...HE'S ON THE PHONE!!" We stopped playing 'Because' and she held the phone up to a mic. It was MIKE SMITH! Thanking us for helping him out! What a thrill! Naturally the donations poured in, eventually reaching almost $4,000! Turns out a local D/J had tipped Mike's agent off to what we were doing prompting the call. And still I say, "We are all in this together." Thumper.

Was Peter Noone involved? He also spearheaded an effort to raise money for Mike’s wheelchair. Kind of ticked me off Dave Clark didn’t just buy the guy a wheelchair, considering that the DC5 probably wouldn’t have gone anywhere without him.

None were allowed to use the association of Dave Clark Five in promoting their own gigs. Every “original“ composition with any band member also carried Dave Clark’s name. There must’ve also been something contractually that stated they would’ve been sued and they complained because none of them ever did. Further, Dave refused to issue the music for decades. I don’t know if band members would receive royalties, but they certainly could’ve use them. I also found it curious that none joined the band at the Hall of Fame. Dave claimed a skiing injury damaged his ability to play the drums. All of these clips seem to be live action over recording music. Look at Dave, missing his cues while the music still is true. I do see Lenny making proper chord changes. Lenny could play. Last I heard, Lenny gave lessons in semi- retirement.

Dave Clark is the drummer. At this time entertainers lip synced the music and if you look Clark can't remember the words. It really is funny. And he was always that way if you look at any of the films from that time. It seems that they tried very hard not to show his face on here.
