RIP dear Johnny Fever. The Coolest Dude 😎 ever. Thanks for the laughs and smiles.
This brings me so much joy!
The whole outrageously talented cast of this show exuded positive energy nonstop.
Gosh I miss shows like this
Carlson, rubbing his head and wiping his mouth at the end - another subtle moment of brilliance.
Lewis Carol Williams Sharon Wilson Donna
Great TV but the laugh teack detracts. Completely unnecessary.
RIP DR JOHNNY FEVER. ❤😢
Still laughing at this in 2024. Pure genius!
Ironically, the show had to put up with this same bullshit from the network.
Give it to me straight doctor I can take it!
Obvious plagiarism. Sounds just like the commercials I used to hear for Morrison Tires.
What would have been really interesting is if they had written Bailey to be in favor of the format change. She was the only person there who could have made the transition to news, except Jennifer of course.
Just fell in love with Bailey.
This is exactly where tRump got his scuttle business first mentality..
1:59 🤣
I still remember this episode as if it was last night. The Great part about it was someone kiboshed the ad, then Herb turned the jingle into another ad (I forget which ) and was hilarious!!! 👍
Just think if someone tried this type of advertisement for a funeral home today what would people say
Remember video killed yhe radio star
One of the best and funniest show I ever watched
I remember the 'turkeys' episode, even now it brings a smile to my face
If it really was somehow more profitable for them to lose money, it would be far easier to simply pay the staff more. And it is a situation that almost never really happens.
Priceless 😊
Ian Wolfe was an exemplary character actor. He should have had more screen time.
To have the old days back, no play lists, requests could and would be played.
Do they accept fat tangerine turds?
Any one know what season and episode this is from?
Season 1:18 “Who is Gordon Sims?”
Jesus, I completely forgot about the masterpiece. Thanks for the reminder.😂😂😂😂😂😂
What an incredible show!
noo its called the evil wht man wanted to steel,... noo warrant or judge for the p.t.i.-13.... just a pervert crook tryn to hide sht,....
wow... oh ... "im crazy"... wow,....
02:27 Perfect reaction by Carol Bruce. Just great!!!
Carol Bruce always got it perfectly right in every scene and dialogue!!! Amazing! And Howard Hesseman always got me feeling real!
Oh I wanted to hear the monologue.
Of course, the subtle joke here is the name of the funeral director….ferryman (the guy in mythology that transports the dead to nirvana).
Chris DeBurg
This was the best bit ever! Too funny over the top!
Yep. During the time period this aired you weren’t afraid to joke about anything. Now everyone’s afraid to make jokes about anything because of political correctness
is this a porn?
Johnny wasn't afraid to tell like it was.
Just one of many, many classic scenes from this great show that I used to watch on re-runs whenever it was on!
@@BaconTomatoCheese I watched the original!
When you talk about a radio station that went straight down the crapper I got a beaut for yall....here in Evansville Indiana we had a station that aired out of the University of Evansville campus... W U E V. 91.5 FM....it was st its peak ( in my opinion) in the mid 70s. Its where I heard rock artists like Peter Frampton, Ted Nugent and others that were cranking out kick ass rock n roll over the airways. It was another COLLEGE station K B C O out of Boulder and University of Colorado where I first heard the late great Stevie Ray Vaughn. Local stations, especially college ones is usually where I first heard artists that became giants in the music industry. I still to this day seek out and listen to them. For example, W P S R, W V J C 89.1 The Bash, 96.9 and 97.1 locally. Nothing rocks harder than a great local station. Yall check em out and please support your local college radio stations. Thanks, DRB P.S. A while back 91.5 WUEV was sold and switched its format to chtistian music. I hated to see the real WUEV go away.
What season and what episode is this from?
All these years since I first watched WKRP as a child and it just dawned on me that the station letters basically say W Crap. ROTFL
Ferryman ... the man with the plots ... the Man with The Plan!
Howard Hessman's best acting.
JOHNNY. FUCKING. FEVER. And don’t you forget it.
The funniest part is that Mr Atoz was the butler!
This show was lightning in a bottle from day one. How good was it? The Thanksgiving episode was season one, episode _six_ ...
Actually by the time this episode was taped a lot of AM Stations were already making the change in format to All News, All Talk due to FM Stations and the AOR format dominating the air waves and improving the sound quality of the music. So in this case Mother Carlson was correct in making the change from a money making standpoint as WKRP would have made more advertising revenue with businesses in the city and/or offering syndicated shows. The fact that WKRP was still on the AM Dial playing Top 40 Rock by the time of the New WKRP seems highly improbable. Andy Travis before he left probably would have convinced Mother Carlson to make the switch to FM to increase revenue and ratings or the AM Station would have indeed gone all talk/news by the 1990s.
I kept waiting for Fever to wind up in Mrs. Carlson's bed. They had a really good sexual tension, as well as an understanding of each other.
I wish this era would come back. Hard to believe this episode is well over 40 years old. How time flies, unlike turkeys.😂😂😂😂.
