I definitely understand what you’re saying. She has already been swapped with a 701 for reliability and just to be able to ride the boat. Video coming soon. Still love the hull, it’s perfect for surf or flat water.

Yes it is! 21 Footrocket Pro (Carbon hull) I am able to flatwater flip it, I haven’t been able to do combos or multiple flat water flips in a row. I think the Kv engines aren’t quite there yet.. Love the hull but I’m considering a new power plant that has more snap low end.

I’m a big fan of the Krash hull, Love the way it feels/ handles. I had some issues with the 1200 engine this year and I’m debating putting a big stroked engine in for next summer. 2024.. The 1200 has some juice but nothing like a Dasa or TPE 1200.

Not too bad! I have had to replace the stock starter/ bendix.. I am having a slight issue with timing..? I think it’s ECU related? But I talked with Nathan from JS and he told me the reason the ski would be semi backfiring (tearing up the starter/bendix) was from the Steve carb mod as it wasn’t getting enough fuel? So I picked up a stock set of kidney plates and put those in. It’s defiantly a fun ski to ride but there is a chance I’ll let it go as I am really set on a true flat water backflip ski! (Preferably a Lee Stone revolver😁)

@@kirbyeichstadt9032 yeah I have a 21 foot rocket. I tore everything apart to replace a bunch of stuff. Runs good. I also like it better with the stock kidney plates. What type of timing issue? Maybe sheared flywheel key?

Also do you take any water in the intake with those pod filters?

@@benselby6171 I actually have the flywheel off right now because I thought it was a Woodriff key but it’s in good shape.. It’s really hard to explain but sometimes when I hit the starter the ski will turn over and then make a “click” noise mid rotation.. (that’s how I tore up the stock starter and bendix) I know that’s a shit analogy it’s just hard to explain that situation.. As for the pod filters and pre screens I’ve never had water get in the engine and I believe they do a great job!

@@kirbyeichstadt9032 mine tore up the bendix from normal starting. Took the stator with it. Are you sure it’s a timing issue and not a rich fuel condition?

The impeller in the ski or the Solas I’m putting in it? Stock pitch for the 1200ccs are 12/18s and I picked up that repitched 12/17 for now.. would like to break it in and possibly find a 11/17 ( I believe that’s what the 997s run🤙🏽 Might have to machine my nozzle as well!

Thank you! It’s defiantly a sharp looking ski! I haven’t ridden it yet no.. I’ve been going over the entire engine checking torque specs on the head, pipe, and exhaust manifold. I’ve done quite a few aftermarket parts on my ski since posting the video. Keep an eye out on my channel as I’m probably going to fire it up for the first time this coming weekend and will film it. Waiting to get my ECU back from Krash as they were updating it for me. It should be quite a fun ski to learn more freestyle tricks on. I know it’s not a crazy flatwater backflip ski but it should prepare me for a better ski down the road. (Or I will put a different engine and pump in it as I love how these hulls ride) Thanks for commenting! 🤙🏽

So I drove over to Wisconsin and picked it up from Andrew at F&G Motorsports. It was his last FR Pro.. he does have some foot rockets still available I believe. As for fuel I run in my old skis, I run Klotz ski craft with 93 unleaded (rec gas) mixed at 40:1. When I break in the krash I’ll be using Rec Gas at 32:1 for the first 2 tanks going to run Mystik 2stroke oil on the krash. 😁 Merry Christmas!🎄🎁

@@benselby6171 Yes it’s ethanol free! Great question.. just thought about running a different oil for the new ski. Love klotz and have never had any issues with it.

@@kirbyeichstadt9032 yeah I’ve been running the klotz for awhile now. Sucks around here to get ethanol free. I’m stuck with e10 pump gas. I still try to go to good gas stations like Exxon or Sunoco. And I always run a stabilizer. Do you plan on doing any carburetor mods? I’ve heard they need to be set up

@@benselby6171 Highly recommend ethanol free if you can find it. Klotz is a great oil! Yes I’m going to have the Carbs sent to a guy named Steve who does some tuning to the carbs and changes the fuel input hole in the kidney plate. Makes it run much better and is said to have more throttle response. Just ordered a bunch of random parts I’ve heard Improve the overall of the ski. I’ll make a video when they come in!
