Not bad but I think it would be more fun on an e46 M3 around the track. I have been driving a lot of cars for the last few years, e.g V8 Commdores, Bimmers, Audi, etc but I found BMW’s engine is the greatest, offering a lot if fun to drive.

Hey mate is this running a Gilmer kit on the blower? Or just blower about to get a blower installed on my SS and wondering whether to put a gilmer belt on at the same time

I need to replace the cam in my VY Commodore which I believe has been hammered by a stuck lifter on cylinder number 8. I just want to keep it stock,the 12560965 GM cam is apparently the largest stock cam which was factory fitted into the LS1,it's just about aggressive as the LS6 can,coincidentally,the LS1 intake in the VY Commodore is actually the LS6 intake manifold. The stock GM cam has a lobe separation angle of about 119 degrees so the smaller 112 angle gives it a "lopey" idle,it actually lowers the engines compression at idle. The stock cam has been discontinued by General Motors but aftermarket cams are available. I have had a hard time finding a aftermarket cam with a stock grind in Australia on EBay, in the U.S. there is a Melling MC1317 cam available on EBay which is a direct replacement for the LS1 cam for the Commodore,which is a stock 2000 Camaro 12560965 cam. I don't know why no one wants to sell me that cam in my own country !!!!

Why do you up-gear just before you break? You cruise through so many corners in 4th haha. Just leave the revs up, the engine will help with the braking too!

ArmatiMusica, maybe you don't understand much about pushrod engines lol. The reason the car is "cackling" is because he took out what the manufactured shipped the engine with and ordered a new camshaft to his own specs to make more power. 228/228 duration, probably .597 lift with 1.6 rr and 112lsa. If you don't know what that means its time for you to step up to the next level of car-guy lol.

Cool vid, always wondered what a cam would sound like with stock exhaust. Is it that quiet with the varex closed? Building a cammed ls1 atm with twin 3" xforce and varex rear but no cats (not illegal in n.z) and just wondering how effective the varex will be when closed.

You clearly have some ability, as demonstrated by your relaxed demeanour at speed. But get some instruction, there is lots you can do here to go faster.
