2nd time to Pas de la Casa - this time alone but i met lots of really amazing people and had a fantastic time (despite the falls!). Going alone made me test myself every day and this time I conquered Mirador (black) which was my nemesis 5 years ago (in the dark) but rescued by a Snow Angel (how lucky)

Recent ski trip to Andorra (Pas de la Casa) - Had a brilliant time - met lots of great people. Good snow - a bit icy for first few days - lots of fun falls then got better as the week progressed. Fell on more blues, then reds but not on black! Conquered Mirador (black) in the light this time - proudest moment of the week... Did night skiing and got wiped out by young french girl who came out of...
Wipe Out @ Chill Factore (7th Feb 2016 )
Переглядів 2 тис.8 років тому
Recent visit to the Chill Factore to test out new helmet with GoPro fitted - resulted in the best wipe-out yet. Notice the "culprit" slowly coming into sight on my LHS as I commenced my high speed run! Too fast to stop/manoeuvre out of the way... The last run went really well

Egg Timer

Bought this great egg timer a few weeks ago and only found out the other day that it runs for exactly 5 minutes which creates perfect boiled eggs for me! So not just a nice ornament eh?
Just look at this guy...

Great view from the top of the new KPMG building in St Peter's Square, Manchester. Seeing the world famous Central Library from this angle is certainly different!

Dragon Boats - Liverpool Marina - 9th August 2015

Just look at the energy of these guys as they practice racing each other in Liverpool Marina today (9th August 2015). I reckon the girls are going to win and they have less people in their team (and they also seem the scariest!) - little extra is the scary bird at the end of my video!

Sorry 😂,,,I am mistaken,,,😅
Is St George's,,,Wow my husband and i used to park outside listening to these on a Sunday,,,😊,,,Sadly he's passed over,,,,Been hopeing to find these on here,,,Thankyou❤
There is a beautiful ttrrack by Virginia Astley called A Summer Long Since Passed which is scored around her recording of local bells.
This sound is haunting and at the same time calming. Growing up in England i'd hear this all the time as a kid, not so much anymore though. I love this sound, it reminds me of home and England.
Thay are just so beautiful to here but sadly they got band in my area and guess who band them is no suprise
Reminds me of Sunday evenings in the village where my grandparents lived ❤️
I don't know because coronavirus covid 19 we all need to live with it
These would've been the signal in 1940 of German parachutists and stormtroopers landing on beaches and in fields
As a historian this takes me back in time
Sundays and wedding's
Wait it's manually? Damn
Yep there are eight people in the tower pulling on ropes to make it all happen.
actually twelve people here. For the majority of towers, its one person per rope.
This is the sound of my childhood which I will always love and never forget. It’s a long time ago now.
How old are you?! I just turned 40... It's the sound of my childhood too ;)
@@fieryheadedgirl sadly, I’m 75 !! It goes to show how this wonderful sound can span the generations ❤️
@@dryflyman7121 75 sounds like a fantastic age to be. My long-term ex boyfriend is 63 by the way! Fabulous at any age and any stage... have a wonderful weekend. x
@@dryflyman7121I’m 27, and have the very much luxury of saying this is also a poignant sound of my childhood as a little boy in the 90’s early 2000’s. Such a wonderful sound as it echoed across the farmland near my childhood home.

High hopes
This is my hometown church Cheltenham
It's a shame you don't here them as much any more.
Holy fuck religion calls to prayer are so damn annoying.
🤔
this wasn't a call to prayer? they were doing a performance
Go somewhere else so you cannot hear, what are you doing here on a church bells video anyway? Got lost? Stay it ;o)
Jazzy jazzy
Beautiful, poignant and timeless. Thank you for sharing. ❤️🙏✝️
I hear many Emily rare morning and Emily morning Emily Emily Emily hard bro
I'm English (from Oxfordshire) and live in Los Angeles. Every time I get homesick I find this video for a sound of home.
Listen to this on holidays cause in england I live so close to a church that I legit can't sleep without it
One of the great sounds of Oxfordshire. Sired into my memory as a child!
Absolutely. Me too. x x @@wm5000

Sweet and melodious sound
and no-one is gonna pick up that plastic bag?? how paradoxical! enjoying the Beauty of nature and church bells but not wanting to help look after gods nature...
Reminds me of my time in Oxford, thank you for uploading!
This reminds me of "tuppence a bag" from Mary poppins. The nostalgia from the bells and the pigeons make the church beautiful
I look dead serious! haha
A well struck bit of grandsire there!
This is amazing. Thanks for sharing. I was looking for a picture to sketch for a painting of a ship's rigging. Stumbled on this. It really makes me want to go to sea.
Typical English architecture... nice! 👍
THESE BELLS ARE REFURBISHED
Nikos Podas These are the old bells
THIS IS CHELTENHAM MINSTER THERE IS ALSO ST MARK WITH 8 BELLS
Such a beautiful church, makes me proud to be part English.
Hey Don. Great video. Liked the crashes!! Glad to have met you on the holiday, would have been nice to have shared a run or 2 with you! Hope you have many more great ski holidays... stay in touch... Tony & Georgie
I was ringing in this! Thanks for uploading and glad you enjoyed the ringing :-D
Thank you for ringing in this its wonderful....i love hearing the church bells on a Sunday morning when im out digging the garden or going to Sunday service....lovely..:-)
@ändringar two arms! In English-style change ringing, each bell is rung by one person - so there were 12 ringers taking part in this performance.
Wow. Amazing work!!
Hi Don the young man you asked about is Cameron Aitken and he is 15
Pauline Aitken - Hi Pauline - you must be very proud - he is really good and confident too...
Have just watched my video again and I do actually own up to the extra 6 feet or so but as it was the very first time i'd ever done this and I was the only one up there at the time I like to think it's still not a bad video tho !!
You are absolutely correct but we were not allowed to go to the very top bit - have you done the top bit on the Sorlandet?? It's a beautiful ship but I tend to sail with the Christian Radich these days....
"Im at the very top"... No, No your not.. you have about another 2m to go..

Don't you just love being up there? U can actually see the curve of the world, and in a stary night... Dude that's life I've been sailing on it for 7 months now Cheers!
