Hello and welcome to my channel!
You’ll be able to find plenty of gaming/trainspotting content on my channel, I don’t upload on a frequent schedule, but I’ve got plenty of videos for now.
My channel is primarily for gameplay videos, entertainment, and showcasing great things in real life.
My older videos have lots of random games for you to look at as well as Minecraft content and Roblox content, whether it’s minigames, survival, or related to adventure maps, theme parks, transit, or anything else really.
I plan to return to gaming videos when I have a computer that can handle it, mine is dying. However, I will not abandon transit videos.
I don't have a Discord server since I'm a worthless everyday human being, but if I ever do something significant I can make one!
The sole purpose of my videos is to entertain, and if you have any feedback, never be afraid to let me know!

I was just at the Seattle airport a few days ago
Did you take the train to the airport and did you ride the subway inside the airport?
Thanks UA-cam for the recommendation😂
HOT FARTS!!
What’s that got to do with this?
3:38 woah I haven't taken Amtrak or Metrolink often so I wouldn't go on the ramps much to see this. That is really old, probably added in on 1993
I instantly knew it was outdated because it’s the B Line now! Also it doesn’t even mention the D Line..
At the time that sign was made, the D/Purple Line didn't exist yet, or, at best, was still considered just a branch of the Red Line. It wasn't called the Purple Line until 2006.
I remember older maps used to show University Street (Symphony) station with a Ferry icon for transfers but newer maps have omitted that, not sure why when Pier 54 is within the same walkshed of the station as much as the Seattle Ferry Terminal and Pier 50 is in Pioneer Square station’s walkshed.
@@chickennuggetcentral576 Haha they’re pretty interchangeable for most destinations, and now that you mention it I think I remember that. The reason I chose Pioneer Square is because it has the closest exit to Marion Street which is where the pedestrian bridge to the terminal is. If the 4th Avenue Shallow/Shallower alternative is chosen for Ballard Link Extension, Midtown Station will be under 5th & Marion. I’d still rather walk from 3rd than 5th, but you could also take the G Line down to 1st.
Are we too stupid liberal?
Redmond Technology Station is going to be so much busier once the 2 Line crosses the lake.
@@EastsideTransit The whole line is!! And I think they’re gonna be moving these two ST Express routes into the transit center area so that nobody has to do the insane walks in this video

Nice video!
LA is a pretty cool city!
Wow... I am impress about the size of this Train... So Big Have a good day
Seems pretty poor, at least compared with the Victoria line. And why the 11 minute gap?
The frequency of the 1 Line videos I've made (two so far) is kind of satire in the sense that trains can bunch up when something happens, which means that you'll get a couple back-to-back and then a long gap. It does happen a lot but they can fix it pretty quickly so catching this on video is still fun. The actual frequency is every 8 minutes at peak, every 10 minutes all day, and every 15 minutes very late at night. This is *good* frequency, because Seattle is *not* London.
@@realquadmoo I think the standard in Manchester is every 12 except a lot of the network has at least two routes, so typically every six all day.
@@seprishere By the end of next year downtown will have trains every 3 and a half minutes
Well, what do you know?! LA now has a fully functioning metro system with tons of rail lines all over the city! LFG!
@@TohaBgood2 yes and it’s great
I didn't know what "lfg" meant but I got the comments context and knew what it was. Anyways, LA should build more subways rather than light rail. Big fan of the former (dat timing I found this recommended so I could see how lrt is like and u replied just 27m ago for a 9hr old comment, so I could rpeply early.)
@@hnitsua yes I really like the subways, but it just boils down to trains in tunnels in my opinion, so I wouldn’t mind more subway lines, but if they build more light rail in tunnels, I’m fine with that
“Boils down to the trains in the tunnels”? Also Rmtransit made a vid abt not putting lrt in tunnels (more expensive infrastructure for lower capacity trains). They shouldn’t underestimate the capacity. Also elevated trains would b way better than tunneled ones too, but it's unfortunate nimbys miss the point that having a view from the air is awesome!. (25m ago, almost the same time as seeing your prev reply)
@@hnitsua I really don’t like RMTransit haha
i just realized your origin station is burbank airport north... so you literally *flew* to la just to ride the trains <3
How would you compare it Sound Transit Link? Are there things they do better or worse than Link? Their stations seem brighter and cleaner.
@@EastsideTransit LA’s light rail is similar to Link, but it streetruns a lot more. It has decent signal priority, though sometimes it’s a little slow, compared to Link where we don’t have very good preemption in Rainier Valley yet (but we do on BelRed). LA squeezes as much speed as they can out of the trains, speeding up as quick as they can only to have to slow down for a sharp curve right after, whereas Link tends to maintain a consistent speed when possible. Link slows down more for curves, LA goes fast through them all. The onboard announcements for Link are nice and simple, but LA has more information in them (except for the side of the doors). Link is fully an honor system, but on some stations, LA has turnstiles. Link is currently distance fares with no cap for riding again, though it’s soon to be flat fares and we hope it will be capped like T Line is, whereas in LA, Metro only lets you pay a maximum of $5 a day, and $17 a week, which is amazing. As for LA’s subway, it’s fully underground, much longer platforms, goes a lot faster, and overall it’s just magic, and I feel that it’s better than Link. When we up our frequencies and gain full signal preemption I think I might prefer Link to the subway, but I do slightly prefer Link over the light rails. I think there’s lessons to be learned for Link, though.
Wow! Excellent video. Thanks for sharing. Interesting seeing the double deck carriages there.
After decades of building to accommodate cars, Los Angeles' trains are making a comeback in a BIG way. Thanks for sharing!
Surprising good 😅

Very good video showing some of the stations and lines on the LA Metro. Just used it today from East LA to Hollywood to go see a musical at the Montalban theater. We got back on the train at Hollywood and Vine around 9:30pm and I was pleasantly surprised how many people were using the LA Metro. Many of the train cars were standing room only. Which I didn't expect on a Sunday night. Thanks.
@@mrxman581 your name is familiar. Did you own a theme park server?
@@realquadmooHahaha, no, but I love theme parks.
Great video! I ride the LA Metro rail transit system to help me get around the LA area when I visit LA. I like riding it to help reduce having to pay for expensive parking or having to pay for uber or worrying about finding a parking space. Also I like on how the LA metro rail system runs efficiently. Also I'm excited that LA Metro is expanding to build more stations around the LA area. Also I like on how it is easy to afford going on riding the LA Metro rail system.
Good points. The LA Metro is also one of the most inexpensive to ride of any major city in the US. The capped fare system implemented in 2023 has been great. I particularly recommend it for all tourists. It's a great way to get around the city and see some of the most iconic places in LA.
13:51 is a golden shot. Best angle I've ever seen depicting public transit in LA.

HAHAHAHA yep!!!
Every 2 min 45sec (timing from door close to door close on next train) is pretty good on a line that operates like a subway but I wouldn't consider it incredible. Once you get into the sub-2 minute region that's where it's impressive with 90 seconds being the best.
Time it from door close to door open
It’s 1 minute 50 seconds. Literally 20 seconds away from what you’re suggesting, it’s perfectly fine.
How is a 2 minute frequency remotely close to bad
@@realquadmoo @realquadmoo I was timing it from door close to door close as that gives a measurement for the headway that the line operates and the true frequency of the trains which you can then use to determine the capacity of the line. While you may only have to wait the door closed to door open time as a passenger, from a technical standpoint, what matters is the door close to door close time. The "90 second" time is from door close to door close averaged across multiple trains, so it includes boarding time as well. If we go by door close to door open, the best systems average between 55 and 65 seconds (including the time it takes for the trains to accelerate and decelerate). Since the door close to door open time doesn't take into account how long a train spends at the platform, you can't use it to measure how many trains you can cram down a section of track. Every 2 min 50 sec (2min 20 if the train didn't wait for so long at the platform) is nothing to scoff at and is on par with most other systems at 3 min, but the fact that the train dwells at the platform for an entire minute is not good for frequency! Here's a frequency comparison video for the London Underground's Victoria line: ua-cam.com/video/PJ0zk4MWCQY/v-deo.html And here's one for the Vancouver Skytrain during COVID: ua-cam.com/video/rfHkZP0ZNpo/v-deo.html&t
@@reggytwobit I'm not saying a 2 minutes 50sec headway is bad, I'm saying that compared to other systems, it's not particularly special. Systems that are able to achieve 3 minute headways are pretty common around the world, but that doesn't mean the frequency is bad. What is impressive, however, are systems that have headways in the sub 2 minute range. Systems that reach 30+ trains per hour (2 minute headway) are less common which makes them more special, but the technology required to reach those headways (in terms of signalling and the trains themselves), and how a system is still able to maintain those frequencies despite hundreds of people entering the platform every few minutes, people holding the doors, trains that are full to the brim, hundreds of people crowding the platform, etc. is what makes a system impressive. In short, every 2 to 3 minutes is standard, but the standard is pretty good.
not for long
You’re right! Soon it will be even more frequent than it already is!
