Feed the male before you leave it for breeding so it will stop the male from eating the eggs. Male is really important to be in the tank till egg hatch because male will take care off the egg till the eggs hatch. You can also remove the female as soon as you see the eggs in the bubble nest this will help to stop the male from eating the eggs because male are more protective of the eggs and if the female go close to the eggs male will start eating them.

Try using a small plastic tub and make sure after you add male and female betta you close the top(leave a small gap for air circulation). Make sure you don't keep removing the cover because the male will again eat all the eggs if it gets disturbed. After you remove the female again leave it closed. After the eggs hatch leave the cover and male betta until the betta fry starts free swimming. Follow this steps and I am sure you will have success in betta breeding.
