Thank you for loving this song. He has 2 new songs..MIOBIO and COME HOME..also sounds so good but doesn't have an MV. Doing this MV like a travel vlog is really cool, with him taking those lovely pictures and doing some fun stuff. He's really hands on with the songwriting and composing of this song..even the photography and directing of the mv.. the director and artist himself..the lead rapper of BTOB who made this pop rock, non rap full song and sang it with high vocals..that's our Peniel. We're so proud of him.

Just note that Bitsaeon of B.D.U. was able to be involved in the his M.O.N.T. comeback, and Seunghun with CIX's North American tour, during roughly the same time period and had no visible issues or conflicts. Jay and TAG mentioned on lives and behind-the-scenes videos behind the pay wall months earlier that they've been in the studio working on the comeback that they were excited for. What happened, that was finally mentioned in a too delayed follow up announcement by Armada, was that it was scheduling conflicts (between Jay's three entertainment companies we're guessing) that resulted in some lines in the sand being drawn and Jay not being in the comeback (a.k.a., actually being removed from what he'd contributed thus far to the comeback). Everyone wanted a different outcome, especially One Pact members, but they all worked really hard to hone their skills further and elevate in prep for this incredible comeback.

Jonghan and Wonwoo have an audiobook version on Seventeen's official YT channel that explains the whole lore behind This Man. You should listen to it and then re watch this MV. It will make more sense.

Okay, as no one here on YT gave any context/explanation let me give you some info, girlies. Dongyeol/Xiao was one of the maknaes in U10 BUT since pre-debut he is known for his abs. U10 had a pre-debut show where they did interact with their seniors on Top Media and in one of the assessments he was chosen to be the "abs" guy as a remarkable feature for his introduction/memorable thing that idols always have to say/do on varieties. As one of the maknaes he was always really cute and playful and his interactions with Hwanhee (the other maknae AND the other U10 member that joined Boys Planet with him) were the cutest thing. Wooshin/Wooseok was always kind of "protective" of him, always around, kind like the Jeonghan/Dino or Leedo/Xion dynamics but Dongyeol is more of a rebel/savage like Xion, but Wooseok is more like Jeonghan (I know both well because bias reasons lol), as he is really mischievous and deceptively angelic when he needs to. I think he finally felt like he can be more himself with his solo career because he even wrote/produced the album (yup, he did that by himself and his own will). I've been away for a while but as far as I can remember that's what comes to mind.

Some extra things I always like to add when someone reacts to this guide: - Junmyeon, like most of EXO, is a big geek~ He has a BIG love for Star Wars; the members joked back when they did a photoshoot to promote their song Lightsaber that Suho owned most of the merch that they were using in the photos^.^ - He's also very much the nerdy scholarly-type. Both his parents are teacher/professor, and they were adamant that his studies could not slip while he was a trainee and that he go to college. - He travels a LOT, but he's the educated traveler type; he'll read books about the places he's going, do researches about places, learn key phrases in languages, and plan everything out. (Some of his favorites places to go are London and L.A.; he really loves California~) - When he gets a new thing he's learning or is interested in (like wine, learning to play the guitar, learning English, etc.) he really throws himself into learning about it. - We used to say he was the only real extrovert in EXO; if EXO was handed a mic, it was immediately passed to him, even if another member was asked a question directly. He also was the member often "volunteered" to do embarrassing things like learn a funny dance or aegyo. - He really loves art. His first solo album "Self Portrait" really reflects that. He even released the album on the birthday of one of his favorite artist, van Gogh. IDK if you know, but Playboy was written by SHINee's Jonghyun. Jonghyun (really all of SHINee~) was very close to EXO members, but Suho especially viewed him as a brother/best friend; for a period, when Suho was a trainee, people thought he'd debut with SHINee~~~ When Suho heard Playboy for the fist time, he said he actually wanted it for his solo debut, but it was gifted to the whole of EXO. So, when the members got the chance to pick a solo stage for their ElyXiOn tour, Suho picked Playboy^.^ * [[[TW]]] * When Jonghyun passed, Suho did not perform his solo stage for one concert, the first one after, but after that he went back to doing it; he said it was the best way to honor Jonghyun's memory, letting people hear the music he gifted the world~~~ The Last Kiss and The Man Who Laughs were musicals Suho auditioned for at almost the same time. He was just hoping to get at least one, and was offered the main role in both. After The Last Kiss finished, he had to immediately go into preparing for The Man Who Laughs; all the while, EXO was doing promotions, a tour, etc. Both of the musicals were two of the most anticipated and biggest productions for the season, and Suho was a newcomer to the scene. BUT he earned a ton of respect in that industry, and The Man Who Laughs was so popular that they did an encore run! Suho not too long ago just starred in Mozart! also~~~^.^

He puts everyone to sleep and imprisons them in dreams. He enters everyone's dreams because he is afraid of being forgotten. Then he forgets his original purpose and drives people away from life, even if it is not pure evil and when Wonwoo realizes this, he goes after Jeonghan and then brings Jeonghan and everyone back to reality.

Yep, Suho is an extraordinary caring leader, as he has been leader of Exo since before debut, in 2010 onwards...he has been through the struggles that Exo has had to endure over the years, and now is faced with the SM, CBX issue at hand today...all Exo members have many solo projects and businesses outside of Exo the group, and Suho is always on top of their projects and happenings...that's what makes Exo a strong band of brothers, a solid family...they truly love and care for each other. It's simply amazing to see over the years how much they communicate with each other constantly...no matter how busy one may be, Suho is always in the know... Suho is constantly worried about Exo's future, more than anything. Exo has been through some unfair treatment, slave contracts, and constant crap thrown their way by SM so much, up to just recent years they have had the courage to say what they feel about the company without repercussions because of the strong fan base and the love from the fans...but as of today the issue with Exo-CBX has SM threatening future music with Exo the group, and this is certainly weighing very heavily on Suho's mind. Suho has always been.a protector of the members, it is so very apparent how he will comfort them in public, on stage, everything. They really matter to him. Dad jokes aside. In that clip where the caption "I've done my duty" showed, was the end of an Exo tour, the last concert of the tour, on Dec. 31, New Years Eve, at the end of the final concert...members were emotional as this was the last concert with Suho as he was getting ready to enlist....being the leader, sometimes the members probably thought "now who's gonna lead?" And Suho just spoke very fondly of each member, which made each cry on stage that night...and Suho cried because he felt being gone for so long might make the fans forget about him....fat chance Suho. But that is what he said in essence, "I've done my duty", as leader of course, for the time being. Thank you for your hard work Suho, you are still our loved leader today. 💙🌺

As a teenager, growing up as a member of SHINee, Taemin was known for his feminine look. It took him a long time to accept the fact that he was known for his looks and that everyone thought of him as a "pretty boy," etc. So, a lot of Taemin's songs are about the duality of life and the different sides of someone that makes up who they are, which is sort of the underlying theme of "Black Rose." Taemin spent a long time coming to terms with the different sides of his personality and, believe it or not, he had to work to overcome being an introvert. Before debuting as a solo artist in 2014, Taemin was known for the fact that he hardly ever spoke during interviews and on programs with his SHINee members. He let everyone else do the talking and he was very quiet, shy and kept to himself. Which made a lot of people, who really didn't know him well, misunderstand him -- he felt like people saw him as timid and weak and they didn't see him as the strong, capable man that he was. He really struggled to overcome that stereotype and to change how people viewed him. No one saw how much Taemin was struggling to change people's' perceptions more than the other members of SHINee. And, as one of Taemin's biggest champions, Jonghyun even wrote a song called "Pretty Boy" specifically for Taemin, after having a conversation with him about the fact that he hated that people couldn't see past his pretty appearance. "Pretty Boy" became part of Taemin's solo debut album and it features Kai from EXO -- who is Taemin's best friend, and is often thought of as Taemin's twin because of their similar personalities, dance styles, family background, career paths, etc, as well as the fact that they look a lot alike, especially when they were younger -- as the rapper in the song. "Black Rose" is a perfect example of how Taemin has now embraced what makes him unique and special, which has changed peoples' perspectives and reshaped the entire industry. The things that Taemin once struggled to accept and overcome, are now what people most respect about him, and they are finally recognizing him for who he really is.

Taemin pronounces Idea the way you hear him saying it in his song "Idea" because he is pronouncing it like the Greek word idéa, and not like the English pronunciation. The song is based on the Greek philosopher Plato’s theory of Ideas. Plato believed that an "Idea" is an ultimate reality. Every form has an idea, an image, or standard set for it and Plato believed that these ideas were eternal. For example, when talking about a human, everyone has an image, an ideal type of human according to Plato and once defined that description or thought is constant and never changing. In "Idea" Taemin is disagreeing with Plato's theory and he is saying that the world is not ruled by one ultimate definition of something or that there isn't only one voice. Taemin is saying he has many voices and thoughts influencing him. If he were to conform to only one way of doing something -- i.e., if he listened to everyone who told him there was only one way to be a Kpop Idol and he needed to do everything the traditional cookiecutter way -- then that would be like killing his spirit and everything that makes him who he is. Hence the lines in the song that say, "Killing me softly." Fun fact: The female voice you hear saying "Killing me softly" is BoA. She is a solo artist also under SM Entertainment, and she is Taemin's highly respected senior, who debuted with SM in 2000 at the age of 13 and, now after almost 24 years, she is known as one of the senior-most members of the industry. BoA is legend. Some have said, and I have to agree, that "Idea" is a metaphor for the way Taemin sees his career. He loves what he does, almost to the point of obsession -- like "my messiah" he is drawn to it and can't help worship it -- he practically needs to dance and perform to survive. But, at the same time, it pretty much controls his life. Living as an Idol means everything he does is done in the public eye, and he will never be able to live a normal life -- his "dangerous dream" that is engulfing him and "swallowing him" up. The stress and constant demand for perfection he feels may be slowly "Killing me softly," etc. I particularly like the verse in "Idea" that says: "The blue light, When you and I face each other, Stained in it, All one's feelings, It's an infinite range, In my world, Most dazzling,The absolute value of you, My my IDEA." These lines seem to be talking about Taemin's fans. SHINee's fan color is pearl aqua, so the blue light you see in the MV and the blue light he talks about in the lyrics of "Idea," makes me think he is referring to the impact and influence the fans have had on everything he has done in his career. And although he loves and appreciates us, it has not come without a few sacrifices and negative aspects as well. The mutual love and respect between Taemin and the fans also has added a lot of extra pressure on him because he always wants to give people his absolute best and he is constantly trying to live up to an impossible standard of self-imposed flawlessness. "Idea" is the third part of Taemin's Never Gonna Dance Again album, which is part of a trilogy. The story starts out with his prologue "2 Kids," and continues with "Criminal," which is part of Act 1 of the album. "Idea" is part of Act 2 of the album and it brings the whole concept full circle. And now his follow up release "Advice" has become the epilogue to the story. Taemin said in an interview: "The two acts put together tell a story. '2 Kids’ is about growing pains and depicts the story prior to the story in the album. You can think of '2 Kids' as a teaser before the movie called 'Never Gonna Dance Again.' Act 1 shows a new side of me. I think it’ll be something you’ve never seen in K-pop before. And Act 2 is the end-all-be-all. It’s the ultimate level of intensity. 'Never Gonna Dance Again’ was originally the name of the concept. Because it doesn’t make sense for me to stop dancing. But I wanted to give a sense of rebellion with the irony of the title.” This album's whole concept is a metaphor for his life and career. With every release from this album, the concept was designed to be darker then the last. In "2 Kids" he was emotionally and physically beating himself up with regrets. In "Criminal" he was living in a toxic relationship. In "Idea" he takes the theme one step further, and says that even though it was my idea and my plan to live this life, nothing comes without a price, and because of that need for perfection, any chance of being average or living a regular life is pretty much dead. Taemin has sacrificed everything to become the magnificent and unique performer and person that we know him as today. If you are impressed with Taemin's dancing, just wait until you see his dance practice video for "Idea." You will be even more blown away. You should also see Taemin's "Idea" dance tutorial video where he teaches Haechan from NCT and Ten from WayV/SuperM. the choreography and explains the concept and story behind some of the moves. As I said, Taemin is on a whole other level.
