@@Mattycnw 🙂
nice
nice
Bravo! Keep going Bro!
This is from Fernando Sor, not Carcassi
Not according to the book I was reading it from. Hmmmm. If I were to go by it’s style and characteristics, it sounds more Carcassi than Sor but I could be wrong.
@@Mattycnw Haha ok, well my book clearly states it's from Fernando Sor.I guess one of the books is wrong
Beautiful piece isn't it. Love classical guitar, I'm not up to that standard, but was just doing a tiny practice piece the other day and it just struck me that here we are a hundred and more years later sitting down trying to play a piece that those masters once breathing just like us also once toiled over. I don't know but it's kinda magical, a form of immortality almost! Am I just a sentimental old fool, or does anyone else kind of get that?
You’re not alone, Ian. One of the main reasons I do it is precisely to get that fix; that feeling when you hear dots on a page resurrect something that was painstakingly crafted and agonised over, in a world where art, in general, was intertwined so deeply with existentialism and, therefore, religion. By the way, it’s the same existential yearning for purpose that we face today if you look around, but expression seemed to be free flowing back in the Bachs’ day. They genuinely relished challenging the minds of the average Mass attendee back in the 17th century and deliberately probed those dark corners of the psyche most never dared explore, if the accounts are to be believed. Today, we have widespread censorship and stifling of debate which means the yearning for bygone cultures and civilisations has skyrocketed. I didn’t even mention the state of music and art yet. Get-me-out-of-here syndrome if you like. I even make believe I am in some smoky chamber reading the dots by oil lamp with a quill laid across the nearby desk, the gait from horses on the trail outside the window rattling my goblet as they pass. All for the ultimate effect! Perhaps I’m giving your degree of bonkers a run for its money here, Ian.
Love
Superbe!
Thank you kindly
Just lovely. So clean and well paced. Thank you.
its nae dino but ittle do !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Funny you should say about Dino - the composer of this one was Neapolitano!
A very thought provoking interpretation!
Good job
Very enjoyable to listen to. Thank you so much for sharing your hard work and resulting talent. I think J. S. Bach would enjoy this as well.
Your kind words are most valued, Robert and it’s certainly an obligation to try and do justice to Bach’s mastery.
I like the feel of your well played interpretation of this piece. Just exquisite.
Thank you very much for your kind words
@@Mattycnw well deserved!

Her facial expressions brought light to the wardrobe mistress. I focussed in on her the last time I saw the show in 2019, and was amazed at her attention to detail. Her reaction to Christine and Meg’s Angel of Music got me laughing.
I have the good fortune to know Ellen fairly well......a lovely lady and an inspiration to all who meet her , her son Matt is a fantastic guitarist .....talent that runs in the family !!!
Thanks for introducing me to this piece. Nice rendition
