Thank you so much for the fair critique! I'm an old school guy who just enjoys playing through the season mode, so I genuinely appreciate your kind words. I am used to the overhead camera angle because it's how I've played for years, and my eyes (as bad as they are) are used to it. I'll try a closer angle for the stream I do today against the Islanders and see how it goes. Thanks again!

@ You are welcome! Whatever angle you prefer im just noticing that when I play, it’s more fun because there’s animations that take place that can’t be seen from up high. And dots on a screen isn’t much fun since we’re out of the Atari and Pong days. I want EA to show me what animations they have, and it’s pretty entertaining when you pay attention. There’s actually audio that’s really interesting too if you mute the play by play. I’ll subscribe! 👍

@@ajmpatriot4899 I gave you a shout on my latest NHL stream. Still playing on classic, but I'm going to play around with views in exhibition. I just need some time to get comfortable. When you play the same view since NHL 08 change isn't easy LOL.

@multiyapples yup Penguins have been my favorite team ever since 3-year-old me saw Mario Lemieux in 1990. I also am a Golden Knights fan as my second favourie team since they came into the league.

I had a SNES in 1991 and got my start with Super Mario World in 1991, All-Stars was a lot of fun too, especially Super Mario 3. I got a Genesis around the time you got your SNES, but for Sega, I was all about Mortal Kombat and Road Rash. Thanks for checking out the video and commenting!

I grew up on the SNES, so it was my go to. I should give the Genesis version a try in a future video!

@@VIGLounge I bought the SNES version a few years ago when I got back into classic gaming, and I can honestly say you can't go wrong with either version.

I'll do a better Royal Rumble playthrough with the intro song (because it's a banger) and the song of the winner whether I win or lose. This was a test video of the emulator and a wireless SNES controller for PC.

Lack of content not withstanding, the game is a lot of fun, and it does capture that pickup and play vibe that the old Aki games had.

That's fair, the PS2 and beyond have some great wrestling titles. I only rented No Mercy growing up, so having the chance to go back and play through the story mode gives me that warm feeling of nostalgia of the 90s game nights with untold amounts of pizza, pop and junk food. I'm really enjoying the nostalgia trip going back to No Mercy, and I also purchased a refurbished N64 console and a No Mercy Cartridge. Introducing my son to No Mercy has been a blast. He's s10 now, and we've been playing No Mercy together since 2020.

I picked up a switch during the pandemic and one of the games I played the most was Mario Golf Super Rush, along with my wife and son. It's relaxing, fun and we've had countless laughs!

@Glockodile_Dun-D I agree the game could be better. I can also agree that EA is more interested in micro transactions than making a quality game. Having said that, I purchase the NHL games each year so I can play with my son and complete season and playoffs each year (streaming), and I get a lot of enjoyment out of it, so to me it's worth it.

I tried doing videos with my N64 and capture card, but I found that using the Project64 emulator with the capture card up scales the quality.

You're entitled to your opinion, but your hate is misguided. Yes Vegas exploited the cap circumvention rule, and it contributed to a championship in 2023, and resulted in a first-round exit this year. However, 31 other teams have the same ability to do it, and another has, in the Tampa Bay Lightning with Nikita Kucherov when they won the cup in 2021. Vegas is just the most recent example. My point is, your anger should be toward the NHL/NHLPA not the Golden Knights. I have to ask, if your team exploits the LTIR rule and wins the cup would they deserve it? Don't hate the player, hate the game.

@@VIGLounge Even so, the Knights are the ones who didn't pay their arena staff during the COVID Pause, and with players lik Fleury and Pacioretty who apparently made up for some of that out of their on pockets gone, i have no respect for the knights organization even if the circumvention roles were reversed.

@@chrissimmons9743 Fair enough, I agree the treatment of Fleury (especially) and Pacioretty is inexcusable as is the treatment of their staff during the pandemic. It's one instance where I can separate the team from management i.e. separating the artist from the art. I've genuinely enjoyed the Vegas band of hockey since they came into the league, so I am fan of the on-ice product. Differing opinions aside, thanks for the engagement.
