This doesn’t work in cold climates
I’m in northern Utah. Pretty cold in the winter and it’s held up great. Please explain what you mean. Thank you.
better is put the tire in a boiling water for 30 min much easier. but well done buddy
Thanks
This is a very well done video of installing a dog door. Thank you
Thank you
after literally hours, tears and an immense feeling of defeat, this worked like a charm, thank You!
I’m very happy to have helped. Thank you for letting me know.
How's it holding up?
Really good. Still great condition.
This is the most complicated method yet.
Thanks for the feedback.
Great job made it look easy ! Tomorrow I will give it a go , Thanks !
How did it go?
What happened to the plants between the stones? Did it not work out? We wanted to grow creeping thyme between ours, so I’m curious to know why you switched.
We made a mistake and started with clover seed. It took over and became a big mess. If we would have started with thyme we would have not done this. Good question and thanks for asking.
@@JedsGarage Thank you so much for the response!
thanks
Looks like a great product. One concern for me would be water drainage. Do you see anyway to install gutters on it to direct the water to one end?
You have to leave at least ³/⁸ of a gap by walls for expansion
That’s a good point.
I just ran into this problem today. I really didn't think I'd be so lucky to find this video. Thanks much for posting!
The instruction say to pre-drill with 1/4" bit, but that is too big for the Palmram screw, so I assume they mean pre-rill the PANEL, but not the wood? Thanks.
So, what I’m getting from this is… 1. Have a work table that you don’t mind drilling into. (Seems like a standard apartment in the city furniture piece, that everyone has.) 2. Have 9” wood blocks. (You know, those ones that are just lying around.) 3. Go buy washers and screws. This is effective, yes. But is it a practical solution for city dwellers without vehicles or workshops and an abundance of tools? No.
I can’t argue with this. Sorry.
Does water leak through the screw holes?
No. But it does leak where I didn’t overlap it enough cuz the slope isn’t super steep.
Did the beetle tape come with carport? How long did it take to install? Want to get the 20x20
Yes. Couple Days
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Best technic ever for putting on that fkn tire 😂!!!
Great Job! It turned out beautiful!
caulk the door aswell
Straight and to the point. This worked! Thank you!
Need a front rib replacement for a 12x20 carport shed . Do they sell replacement parts and how to find them?
How many days did this project take you? Looks great!
Well, thank you good sir. I’d say a week or two.
But how do you get the screw out?? Mine is stuck.
Spray the vinegar right into the screw area and repeat that a few times. It will eventually loosen up.
@@JedsGarage I have done that, leaving the vinegar on it all night and it's still stuck.
Vinegar was just what I needed. Thanks!
Mine came with solid rubber tires (HiBoy S2 Pro) and they are rock hard with hardly any flex at all. I'd like to replace them with honeycomb tires but they look like a pain to remove 😩.
If it came with solid tires preinstalled, consider yourself lucky and leave them there.
@@NoiseBooze I just prefer the honeycomb tires. Rides softer than rock hard solid rubber tires. I think HiBoy updated the latest S2 Pro to honeycomb tires. I might just get those instead.
As a single mother, I was struggling to find a solution for my dishwasher until I stumbled upon this video. Unlike others that had me dismantling the dishwasher with no success, this one provided clear, effective instructions. My set up isn’t exactly the same but it didn’t take long to figure out. The relief I felt when I heard my dishwasher draining was immense!! It saved me so much time and hassle. Thank you for this! 🙏
Hey Jed! Does the lens work well for getting a spot focus? Does it work well for heating experiments? Melting metals? Thx
Hello!! How long did that take for the grass to die under the plastic? Great video! Thank you! 🙏 😊
4-6 weeks. Needs to be done when days are warmer. the more the sun and heat the faster it dies.
Best video- great job on explaining. Getting ready to do one.
So you basically need to be an octopus mounting this s.. great..
Yeah, pretty much
I most definitely needed this! I have the same exact issue and I thought I was going crazy cause it wouldn't come off. Lol
Hey, just curious, would you be able to tell me the shape and size of the screw attaching the handle? I have a multi drill bit set but none of them fit perfectly. Thanks!
Nice
Also, please let me know if you know of any other uses for this Fresnel Lens
Good job on the video. I bought one come with no manual!
In my area the weeds would take over between the pavers
Use the Herbicide IFA Weed and Feed Step 2
@@JedsGarage well the problem is I wont touch herbicides on this land so Ill just have to weed alot lol
By code you need to be 36" from your electrical panel
Correct.
I like that you stress it's only an eighth of an inch needed - I see so much gloppy dirty caulk. Thanks for a great video and information! I am about to do my own kitchen & your video sure gives me more confidence.
Sprayed, vinegar, lime away, and wd40. It's still stuck. Went to HD to see if they had a tool and they do not. So.... wtf last time I called a plumber out they charged me 180.00 for the service call then told me it was 1300.00 to replace my tub spout. Cost me 40 bucks to fix it myself. I have less trust for plumbers than I do for politicians.
The colored mortar looks good!
Thank you. We love it.
Do you think it will be just as Efficient if I’m using 2x6’s to screw the panels on
Yes. Probably more sturdy too.
Looks great! Thanks for sharing. It doesn't look like you used edging between the pathway and the mulch that surrounds your plants. Do you find that that mulch stays in place enough? I'm a hopeful DIY'r and can use all the info I can get.
i started something like this last summer, only on a much smaller scale. i wanted to grow grass between the joints. But, i found that it was hard to pack the soil in the joints, which exposed the sharp edges of the flagstone if you didn't step directly in the center of each stone. the soft soil would get kicked up, or pushed down. Wondering the best way to counteract this? or is that just something i have to put up with until the vegetation really takes hold? (even after grass grew it was very soft). Thanks!
what do you think is the MIN pitch needed??
Finally someone is showing us this thank you
What is the slope? You stated it wasn't enough and that was one reason for leaking.
Dude, thanks for this vid!
Why do you screw into the peaks of the corrugation and.not into the valleys of the corrugation? Thank you!
More leaking if screwed in the valleys, Debris gets stuck and also the corrugated material won’t be able to expand and contract if screwed down tight to the wood in the valleys.
@@JedsGarage Thank you so very much! Makes sense and really appreciate it!
Hey! We're in Utah as well and the cheap corrugated metal one that our landscapers installed is failing after 1 year. What was the cost per sheet if you don't mind me asking?
Like 80$ per sheet about 4 years ago. Still holding up like a tank too. Metal mart in Lehi
Thanks! @@JedsGarage. I just called them and it looks like the price is about $95-$100 now a sheet, but still good! We're definitely going to do this! Now the next big question: Aluminum or Galvanized Steel? They're about the same cost for the same thickness. Also, did you do .04 aluminum? They said they don't measure aluminum in gauges, but that that was the closest to 20ga they carried.
That looks so pretty! 😍
Im watching this video a second time. Its a absolute must to use the large washers. I tried using the smaller ones and destroyed some of the tire due to the hot screw and spinning drill bit. Also try to be mindful of where you place the screws because too close and the threads damage the rim.
