    What happened to the plants between the stones? Did it not work out? We wanted to grow creeping thyme between ours, so I’m curious to know why you switched.

    • @JedsGarage

      We made a mistake and started with clover seed. It took over and became a big mess. If we would have started with thyme we would have not done this. Good question and thanks for asking.

    The instruction say to pre-drill with 1/4" bit, but that is too big for the Palmram screw, so I assume they mean pre-rill the PANEL, but not the wood? Thanks.

  • @AnnieONeill
    @AnnieONeill Місяць тому

    So, what I’m getting from this is… 1. Have a work table that you don’t mind drilling into. (Seems like a standard apartment in the city furniture piece, that everyone has.) 2. Have 9” wood blocks. (You know, those ones that are just lying around.) 3. Go buy washers and screws. This is effective, yes. But is it a practical solution for city dwellers without vehicles or workshops and an abundance of tools? No.

    Sprayed, vinegar, lime away, and wd40. It's still stuck. Went to HD to see if they had a tool and they do not. i started something like this last summer, only on a much smaller scale. i wanted to grow grass between the joints. But, i found that it was hard to pack the soil in the joints, which exposed the sharp edges of the flagstone if you didn't step directly in the center of each stone. the soft soil would get kicked up, or pushed down. Wondering the best way to counteract this? or is that just something i have to put up with until the vegetation really takes hold? (even after grass grew it was very soft). Thanks!

    Im watching this video a second time. Its a absolute must to use the large washers. I tried using the smaller ones and destroyed some of the tire due to the hot screw and spinning drill bit. Also try to be mindful of where you place the screws because too close and the threads damage the rim.
