Trying Ilama for the First Time in Mexico Was a GAME CHANGER!
Great video. You guys will learn spanish quickly. Congratulations and God Bless you.
Holy cow! Your Spanish class is difficult mainly because you guys are also learning the Bible verses in Spanish.
I enjoyed this video a lot! Great job Neoshea! Thank you for sharing your day with us. ❤
I can hear other people talking in the background. I would struggle to focus and retain anything. That seems soooo hard! Y’all are doing great!
You're doing a great job, Neoshea. It seems like so much! I'd be super overwhelmed.
Thank you! It can be a lot at times, but we are enjoying the process! 😊
I keep waiting for a tarantula to appear 😆 I would really struggle with this much learning all at once. How does Nick do it with his ADHD? Do you feel like you're able to retain everything? I think that would be my biggest issue. Also, as you know, I can't roll my Rs.
Great job. I have such a hard time retaining languages. I'd have to be like you and live in another country. While learning the language. How long have you been living in mexico?
Thank you! 😃 We have been in Mexico since August 23, 2024. :-)
🎉You two are so inspiring 🎊 Keep it ip up up🎉
Thank you! We are so blessed to have the opportunity to serve!
🎉🎉🎉Awesome 👍
Thanks!! 🎉
How wonderful to be part of giving back to rhe community. So humbling. 🙏🏾💕
It was truly a humbling experience.
Good job! Remember, the more you use Spanish, the faster you will learn it. Blessings 🙏.
Thank you for the encouragement! 🙌
Congratulations on acing your tests! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you! We are very happy with the progress! 😊
Yes. My Spanish speaking friends call me Bicki.
I can see that! 😊
Hey guys, keep it up 👍
Thanks so much!! 😊
You know how you say (for) now say (por) the (O) is pronounced the same as for.
Thank you for the reminder! 😁
Your doing great keep it up and youll be fluent
Thank you! We are enjoying the process! 😊 Can’t wait to be fluent!
Every little bit helps.
Yes! Thank you for watching! 😊
Great video ❤New sub❤ where did you her about them. Was it just in your hometown 17:11 ?
Sorry!! I looked back. Here about what?
@NickandNeoshea the mission
@@ThePynnFoolLife gotcha!! Another couple shared about it in our church. 😀
What a nice thing to do for the community- Providing dental assistance, cleaning, extractions etc for free, its awesome. I'm sure they help with high blood advice, diabetes, meds and other useful information for the locals. Spending time playing with the children to ease their fears is very nice. Kudos to the group!
We were so happy to help! 🙏
Thank you for sharing this experience with us Neoshea, it is humbling 🙏
Absolutely!!
It really brings life into perspective. So much poverty all over the world. Your video brought tears into my eyes. Having dental work outdoors in hot climate, open building, dirty ground. So humbling. Amazing. God bless the missionaries. Perhaps just a thought, Nick's mission could be to train people in auto mechanics of course basic things. In those little villages no body cares if he has a licence to teach. ❤
You're right, it was humbling! We are very grateful for the opportunity to help. Also, the mission for Nick is actually in the works coming next year! 😊

Really nice video, thank you!
We’re so glad you enjoyed it!
Muy bien, lo importante es escuchar mucho...!!!
¡Gracias!
Level two❤🎉Keep up the amazing work 🎉
Thank you!! Whoop whoop!!
Nick is a doctor 😂😂for cars high profile mechanic . Good to hear your doing great 👋🇲🇽🇺🇸
Yes, he definitely has the skills! 😊
Chinese food in Mexico is different from other places because Mexicans add that special flavor that we locals love. Blessings 😊.
That makes sense! We love it! Blessings to you! 😊
Hola mi amiga, esta bien. Yo soy mut feliz to watch you 😍
Yay! 😁
Hola dios les bendiga saludos y estare orando por ustedes oara que pronto puedan aprender el español 🎉 bendiciones amigos
Thank you so much for your prayers! We are definitely enjoying learning! 😊
I used to live in Dallas and few blocks from our house was a Chinese restaurant but everyone, the cooks and the cashier were Mexicans and my children always said, mommy let's go eat Mexican Chinese 😂 and we thought it was better than the Chinese food cooked by Chinese. people.
That’s awesome! Very interesting. It definitely is better!
I'm with Nick. I also do not like to talk when it's hot. 😂
Haha!
Hello friends!!!!- It's ok not to feel like talking sometimes Nick...It happens to all of us, the difference is my husband thinks I am upset at him-- The opposite of Neo who's so understanding and supportive. We love you guys, blessings from California- it's so windy here and yes, we have fires in the Malibu area.🙃😶🌫
Thank you so much for your kind words and blessings! We will pray for safety from the fires. Keep us informed please.
México is not for you... Go back to normal USA school and mall shootings in the usa.
Yup there are scorpions in Mexico. I always check my bed, covers, pillows and under my bed.
Good idea!! 😊
I’ve never seen anyone make green salsa with raw green tomatillos. Didn’t know you can eat them raw. I always grill my tomatillos or boil. I also grill the jalapeño and take the seeds out. If you rinse the tomatillos really good they won’t be sticky.
Thank you for the tip! We will definitely try that next time! 😊
Yummy 😋
It's so good! 😊
You definitely need a fan for that shop !!
Yes, we need a fan and a lift!
They have the portable ones . My son's a mechanic and yes been talking about getting one.
looks solid mexican salsa verde, it could improve if you "tatemar" the ingredients, or roasted, before you put them in the blender... nice videos....
Thank you! We will try that next time! 😊
Finally, the sauce looks delicious.😋
It is delicious!😊
Hello guys, you are learning many Mexican things very quickly and easily, good for you!! keep doing it😊
Thanks so much! We are definitely enjoying learning! 😊
That fruit is called jackfruit- when totally ripe, it tastes like a mix of banana, mango, and pineapple. The inside is kind of weird but it is delicious- when you are ready to try one, make sure it is ripe. Mr. Nick looks so happy surrounded by tools to teach his students! God bless you both always.
Yes! Nick loves working on cars! Thank you explaining the jackfruit! God bless you!
There's no right or wrong way to make red or green salsa. It's a personal preference. I don't put hot pepper in mine because I don't like hot peppers ruining my food. But I like the flavor of salsas.
Thank you for your tip! Nice to know! 😊
Oaxaca is one of Mexico's most ethnically diverse states, with a large concentration of indigenous groups who are chiefly engaged in subsistence farming. Some two-fifths of state residents speak indigenous languages, notably. Zapotec, Mixtec, Mazatec, Chinantec, and Mixé. It's like going to New Mexico and Arizona and are home to many Native American culture like, Apache, Navajo and others. Oaxaca and native Americans are not the cultures of the counties. In other words who knows what they are celebrating. The Catholic Church sounds the bells for mass at 8 am in the morning but not for anything else. The Roman Catholic Church in Mexico, United States practices the same customs.
Thanks for the info! We are definitely learning a lot about Oaxaca.
Miguel hidalgo was the father of mexican independence and he was a priest and he rong the church bell at 12 midnight to call on arms and rise against the Spanish. They also ring the bell when someone passes away but it's a different pattern
The loud boom is part of the Catholic church traditions, usually to announce and also during a special celebration such as the day of the dead, some saint's day, a procession, etc. There is also a very early mass, and people sing and pray during the procession. As for the question about the fruit's name in Spanish, it's called yaca in many places. Blessings from Guadalajara Jalisco Mexico.😊
Thanks for sharing your knowledge of the traditions! Blessings to you!!
What a sad but wonderful story. Proof that God always puts someone in our life at the right time. I'm so happy God gave you a Christian man to walk with you and be with you through this pain. My heart aches for you Neoshea. The pain will get easier, but never go away completely. Hold onto all of the beautiful memories. ☺♥♥♥
Thank you for your kind words. One day at a time.
Apparently I'm not to eat jackfruit because I have an allergy to birch pollen?! But I am one who will try a little anyways lol. I'm allergic to peanuts, but not so bad that I can't have something cooked in peanut oil or a candy bar with peanuts. Oh how I love hearing the birds in the background. I'm afraid I would sit down to listen to them and totally lose track of time. That is so awesome how God has blessed Nick with so many donations of tools etc. May God overflow him with everything that he needs to bless others. Have a blessed week and enjoy your classes. ☺♥ ><> <>< ><>
Thanks for watching! God Bless You! 😊 I’m sorry you have an allergy to peanuts. No bueno!
A lot to sort out, and Nick seems to be completely happy in his element.
Yes, he is!! 😊
It’s so beautiful there. I find myself trying to look all around you. I was curious too so I read the comments. Very interesting. I’m glad Nick is getting his hands dirty! Yes! Tell us what kind of fruit that is. Is the 10mm socket there? That’s the question! It’s the one that always seems to be missing. 😂
You're right! We are super grateful to be here. I asked Nick about the socket and he agreed!
do they have whole foods down there?
Not that we know of. The tiendas have their own foods that are whole.
Im Mexican-American and now retired in Mexico. The loud booms are signals of (so many days) until a special church mass. Typically they start 9 days out with loud fireworks at about 5:00a.m to 6:00am. These are old traditions that go back centuries.
Expect LOUD fireworks that sound like bombs in december, leading up to Christmas day
Thank you for your input and tips! Appreciate it!
