You have some nice picks there. Might add some of them in my wish list.
Glad you liked them. They are all really good games. Just depends on what kind of game/experience you are looking for.
@@WilzPlaysGames haven't tried most, but I know some of them. Want to try the others
Looks cute n good, nice review guys. Sold!
It’s very fun. We dis a play through that will post later this week. We are getting come clarification one a few things.
Shelfie Stacker! A great Shem Phillips design
We really like it. It's a fun one.
Nice display willz! Creature comfort looks cute n nice to play.
Creature Comforts is one of our favs. It was our first KS and the game that started our love of KTBG games.
Such a nice video. I am very grateful that gaming has allowed me the opportunity to meet wonderful people like you !
We thought it would be a good way to celebrate our 1st year. Thanks for joining along in the ride.
So grateful! Thank you so much for all of your support!
Congrats!
Thanks. It's kind of surprising.
Is there a master list of ALL the Rolling Realms products? I found one but it didn't seem complete.
There is. Here is the link to it www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/ulyfze69rb24tsgip7mn7/ABJX2QPSEQ1hp0MzAWAttcg/Rolling%20Realms/Rulebooks?e=6&preview=RR_Realm+Checklist.pdf&rlkey=0ejidzd7lktoa5hyrbkmy9xse&subfolder_nav_tracking=1&dl=0
@@WilzPlaysGames Thanks. For some reason I think I have printed this but found it was missing something or had a mistake. Will check.
@@Shadrackc This is the most up to date. It even has Tokadio and Vantage listed as we know those games are coming and realms will be as well.
We really liked the idea of the first edition, but some of the mechanisms seemed to be too restrictive, so we are excited to try this new version. Nice video!
Thanks. This version is so nice. It no longer feels like a reskin of Trekking the National Parks.
Good stuff, looking forward to the changes
Thanks. We are still debating what to do with our thumbnails. We are going back and forth between a full change to look like others and show us more prominently or keeping the split color but doing a bit more to it and making the titles and names on thumbnails better. We oviuosly already revamped our 5 and Dime format and have ideas for our initial impressions and hot to play videos.
Gnome Hollow, River Valley Glassworks, Harmonies, and Stonespine Architects are all in my top games this year. I recommend Kavango and Creature Caravan.
Lots of crossover. I almost backed Kavango but didn’t pull the trigger. I’m very interested in Creature Caravan though. Thanks for watching.
I haven't actually heard too much about Gnome Hollow but I'll have to check that one out!
It's a lot of fun. We really enjoy it.
I think Lets go! To Japan definitely is in my top 10 and I could possibly have been in my 5 if I had played it in person more
Such a good game. I do find it hard to figure in BGA play or just completely ignore BGA play when doing rankings.
I can't believe I forgot about Vantage when making my list!
D'oh. So we would have had 5 crossovers. And I didn't know enough about Spooktacular but it sounds interesting.
@WilzPlaysGames I literally just heard about Spooktacular a few days ago myself on Dice Tower, but it looks fantastic.
I watched their most aniticpated lists as well as many others before I did mine. I guess it didn't jump out at me for my top 10 or I simply forgot about it. It does look very intriguing.
Great idea for a list! Probably not a surprise that mine is Wyrmspan.
Thanks. it was something fun we wanted to do. I love the dragon on Wyrmspan, but I am not a fan of how much cover space all the names take up personally. I understand they want to highlight everyone but I like it when names take up less space.
This has been a KTBG that's been on my want-to-play for a long time. Hopefully one day! Thanks for the video!
You bet. And we are live streaming it Wednesday night.
Let us know what you think of it when you to get it to the table. I hope you really enjoy Wreck Raiders as much as I did! Stacey
I wanna learn Captain Flip, let's play it
Definitely. I'll start it up.
Have you tried Trekking Through History? That’s a new to us one that’s been fun lately. Might have to check out Umbrella! Never heard of it 🤔
TrekkingThrough History is one of my favorite games. I love the solo as well. I actually did a livestream solo playthrough last summer.
Citizen of the Spark looks cool. Even though I sold my Tenpenny Parks - Thunderworks has incredible production. Dani Garcia is publishing SO MANY games wow - might have to check out Coming of Age as well.
Thanks for watching the video and commenting. Tenpenny Parks is one of my top 2 polyonimo games for solo play and overall. Citizens of the Spark looks very intriguing. I don't know much about Coming of Age, but I loved Windmill Valley. Sounds like this might be similar but slightly higher weight but should still be in my comfort zone.
Some interesting games here. I have not heard of Coming of Age but Dani Garcia is always someone to look out for. Also Vantage I'm unsure of, gonna have to look into it more but I am interested
Coming of Aga came on my radar late last week before filming. I’m very intrigued with the theme. I think Vantage is going to be very interesting and we confirmed today that you could play over Discord with others because it fits the theme perfectly since everyone is in a different part of the planet anyway. Could make for some fun game nights.
Coming of Age looks SO NEAT! Lots of overlap of games we're really excited about!
I really know nothing about it, but I really enjoy Windmill Valley for my solo play. I noticed a lot of overlap. Thanks for checking out the video. I'm guessing one of the new subscriptions was you.
Nice list! Time is such a weird thing in the board game world lol. Feels like I’ve already been hearing about many of these games for over a year or more. There’s reviews, playthroughs, coverage for them, etc and yet they’re considered “new”releases 😅 Lairs in particular I would have assumed was already out, surprising!
Yeah. I think its the KS effect. We backed this on KS awhile ago and still have time to wait.
I have really enjoyed Windmill Valley as well, so Coming of Age sounds like something I would like. Also, very excited about Vantage. Wonder if we could play over Discord if we have multiple copies?
Yeah Coming of Age was named on a couple of lists I saw and it sounded intriguing. Seeing as you only see what you see I would bet that you could make Vantage work on discord. That would be a fun night. We should ask Jamey because that would be really fun to get a group together. Maybe Jamey would even play with us which would be sweet.
@ maybe even a possible video series?????
for sure. And I asked on Discord. It's a big ole yes.
Thanks for the video. I've been curious about this one!
It’s a lot of fun
Nice List!
Thanks. It was a fun month.
Great lists! What do you use for your graphics / transitions in your videos?
Thanks. It's all done on Canva. I've created overlays and then do the titles and things after the fact and edit it in quickly
I still want to play Fox Experiment. Good lists overall!
Thanks. FOx Experiment is very interesting. I only play solo so the setup and takedown is a bit with all those dice. If I can find some sort of organization that helps with that it would probably move up my list.
I've enjoyed our game plays on BGA and look forward to more plays in 2025! I'm happy to play Sky Team any time 👍
Been great connecting with you. Definitely gotta get your numbers up with me. Sky Team it is.
Our games have definitely been a highlight of my gaming year! Thanks for being such a fun opponent and an even better person. Looking forward to a wonderful 2025!
It’s been great getting to know you this year/ can’t wait to see next years numbers.
Number 2! Wahoo that's a ton of games
And I’m betting 2025 will be even more.
If I use a #6 dice, can I specifically just cross off ⭐️on the map even if not adjacent to anything? (But only as one) I believe you did that but just checking.
Can yo ulet me know where I did that so I can double check. The #6 die allows you to cross off any 3 different colors. Star spaces are wild. It still needs to be adjacent though. I believe every star I marked was adjecent to a space that I had previously marked.
My top 3 are Apiary- Expanding the Hive, Ticket to Ride- Iberia and South Korea, and Marvel Legendary- Ant Man and the Wasp
I have not got Expanding the HIve to the table yet (There just wasn't time for Apiary after it's release) or it would definitely be on there. Iberia/SK is one of very few maps we don't own but I've heard its really good.
Oh wow!! Very excited to play Animated over the holidays with my family!! We leave for Disney Jan 10th :)
It’s really good and I expect with bigger numbers it’s going to be even better. Don’t underestimate the communication and the character powers.
Quite the list of challenges there! Good luck
Yeah it kind of got crazy doing 3 of them but I’m actually close enough to maybe get them all.
Best of luck on your challenges!
Thanks. We will see if I can get it done. Thankfully no new games so they are all games I know how to play. Makes it easier to get them played.
Desks! Adorable! This game is on my shelf of opportunity which I prefer to call "My Game Store". Looks fun and challenging. I'm curious how the solo will play out.
I’m very curious about the solo as well. I didn’t look into it much but the game is very good.
This game looks beautiful and fun, and I'm glad there is a solo mode. I am not buying any more games until summer and this is on a very short list for then. I still have 7ish great games to learn and play, and I average about 2 games a month for that. Which Stonemaier organizers are those?
This is a good game. And an easy solo mode to run, not beat though. I wish I only had 7ish games to learn. They recently put out a set of organizers on their website that you could buy. It comes with two of the blue ones, one white one, and one of the card ones from Wingspan. I bought 3 sets because I knew I had games to organize.
Glad you enjoyed it! We were a bit let down on this one, I think our expectations were very high. We definitely need to try it again. The action selection with the wheel is phenomenal
Yeah I really did like it. Finally won in my 3rd game. I do like the action selection on the wheel and the dynamic of how fast I want it moving so I can get things going quick enough. DIdn't you say your friend rushed teh start and it you felt like you couldn't get anythign going or something or was that another game. I watched your BGG Con VLOG this morning, but then proceeded to watch like 10 other baord game videos on UA-cam as well today.
@@WilzPlaysGames yup that's what happened. I think anytime you play it that's what you have to do, rush the wheel and be the first to get the bonuses. I want to do more in the game but I feel like you upgrade a few spots and just hit those hard everytime and rush the end game. Again though, need to play it a few more times.
Yeah if it rushed like that I can see how it would not be enjoyable as you don't get to do a whole lot of planting or anything. The first game I played was like that as the wheel was at 3 for quite awhile before I forced it back down. My 2nd and 3rd game i kind of forced to to go slower.
Nice lists! My top ten- 10 The Spill 9 Incan Gold 8 Guillotine 7 Monster Expedition 6 New York Slice 5 Mega Man Adventures 4 Dice Town 3 Transformers Deck Building 2 Red Rising 1 Perudo (Liar’s Dice)
Very nice. I have only played Red Rising in that list. I enjoy it but feel it would be better at multi-player.
@ from what I know about your style, I think you both would enjoy most The Spill and New York Slice. Spill is a pandemic style co-op where you are trying to save ocean animals from an oil spill and Slice is a “I cut, you choose” game with pizza - very thematic…the box looks like a pizza box and the scoresheet is a check receipt. I actually prefer Red Rising solo (I know weird for me to say) but is good multiplayer too and I love the book series. Perudo is a super fun party bluffing game that was introduced to me by my brother in laws family (their version is the Pirates of the Caribbean one).
I have heard of NY Slice and I definitely think it would work for us. We are trying to make our way through our current games first. Although we have added a few on Amazon lately.
I'd like a recount! It was rigged by Hugo Chavez!
Thank you so much!!
You're welcome!
Congrats
No audio. But I see that Daniel won, which is clear enough.
Ooops, too tired. Didn't plug in my external microphone and guess I didnt realize my computer mic wasn't picking up volume.
Congrats Daniel!
Thank you!
Who won?
For some reason my brain thought I posted this a week ago. It's been a very busy couple of weekends when I would do teh drawing. I will get it drawn tomorrow when I get home and post the results.
Are you dkbnet? Just trying to figure out who is entered. Going to respnd to the email as well.
@@WilzPlaysGames I am. And I see the winner selection video up now. Congrats to Daniel.
Thanks for the reminder.
Thanks for this. I think I'm updating my Kickstarter now.
Glad it helped you add another game. I'm guessing you are Kickstarting Lairs.
@@WilzPlaysGames Yes. And this was an add-on so I updated to add it!
@@WhereMyMeepsAt I'm glad our video helped.
More good games! I need to try more KYBG games.
We love KTBG. We just did an initial impressions video of Maki Master.
Great lists! I really enjoy the games you listed that I've played. When I play Cartographers with 2 or with people who don't like the take that vibe, we just use the solo rules for the purple cards. That way we still have to manage that part of the game, but it isn't caused by another player. Thanks for the BGA invites!
yeah a lot of people I play Cartographers with on BGA aren’t crazy about take that. I only play solo on the tabletop. I like that idea though. With the right people on BGA we could implement that rule as well.
@@WilzPlaysGames I don't think I've played Cartographers on BGA with anyone yet (just solo) so I'm not sure that method will work there, but it works great with the physical game.
@@BillyIndiana I think if you played with a ground you kind of regularly play with on BGA and all agreed to that rule it might work
I love everything about the game. Play it all the time. With the mini expansion.
Do you play it solo or multiplayer? It seems like a great game but the solo mode is lacking something it feels like. I’ve seen other say that the beat way to keep the AI from finishing too quick is to stay behind them and basically ignore the hacking which seems to be what the game is all about.
@@WilzPlaysGames i have only played solo. and yes, you dont want to get ahead to soon because the game will be over soon. i did that when i first started playing and the game was over to quick. but after playing it multiple times i have learned to stay even with or a little behind. i dont ignore the hacking. that is fun. its a balancing act for sure but very fun. i am a solo player most of the time with all my games.
Good to hear. These were initial impressions. I always give games several plays. It just didn’t grab me like most games I’ve learned this year. Definitely play it several more times this week.
Great list. I went onto BGG and looked at all my ratings and used the same standards so here is my top 10 in that range with more than 50 complexity ratings: 10 Witchstone 9 The Wolves 8 Viticulture Essential Edition 7 Ancient Knowledge 6 Castles of Burgandy 5 Tapestry 4 Wyrmspan 3 TTR Legacy 2 Mosaic: Story of Civilization and 1 Apiary so quite a bit of crossover with you!
Yeah that's a lot of crossover. I'm very intrigued by Castles of Burgundy and The Wolves.
Saw your post on Facebook and wanted to comment as a fellow content creation channel with some of my own (CB). close to 3.0 I've got a few that stand out: - El Grande - The Castles of Burgandy - Marvel Champions
Thanks for viewing and sharing. I've been intrigued by Castles of Burgundy. I will check out your site and subscribe along. I am looking at potentially putting together a panel, or a few, of small content creators to help us get views for each other. Like a little Q&A session or something. Would you be interested?
Great list, I want to checkout Apiary and Wyrmspan. Two of my favorites I’ve played this year in the 2.5-3 rating are Rock Hard 1977 and Trailblazer: The John Muir Trail.
I have had Trailblazer sitting on my shelf since it arrived. The longer it sits the less I feel like getting it out. Maybe I will give it a shot finally net month.
