The God Machine - Seven [Part 2 of 2]

Having recently explored the two albums by The God Machine, I decided to upload every song that wasn't already on the 'tube so that everyone could hear what this band had to offer. A seriously underrated band that I think was definitely essential in defining the hard rock sound of the '90s. This is part two of the studio version of the 16-minute epic "Seven", the eleventh song off of their debut album, Scenes from the Second Storey. Enjoy!

A cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival's classic "Commotion" by a great Belgian rock band called Triggerfinger. This is an extended live version of that song (from their live album Faders Up) and since it clocks in at almost 12 minutes, it had to be split into two parts. This is part 2. There was nobody like them, and they were bound to burn out fast, sadly.
The God Machine were liked & appreciated by the music press & they did not burn out fast. Just after finishing recording second album Jimmy Fernandez had a massive brain aneurysm & sadly died. The other 2 members of the band knew the band could not continue without Jimmy & called it quits. I saw them in Glasgow at King Tut's when they released this album & It was stunning. So powerful & hypnotic.Check out Sophia (Robin's band) & Mercylane ( Austin's band) both are really good.
