hi! first congratz for the game!! nice mechanics like drop weapon and hit myself with wall or rocks when roll, i love it. Sometimes in caves cant see anything and can be i a little frustranting because dont know where i am (because drop torch), maybe the character can shine a little (like sword or dagger when drop). Apart from that i like the game so much and recommend to a friend (because him is developer too and guess he can learn from your game). Its an honor for me you written me! gratz again and sorry for my english ;)

@@larryplua4803 Very happy to hear that, thanks! Our overall goal was to make a "game experience" rather than a "fun game" so we were okay with (and wanted) some frustrations like dropping your torch in a dark area. We did however work hard to build in mechanics to help you overcome every situation, even a lost torch :). For instance, there is an item you can find early on that does as you suggest, lights the area around the hero when held in front of you. Also, if you do a High Attack or a Jump Attack you'll strike the ground with your sword. If the ground is rock (which it often is) you will light up the area around you. You can also strike walls or ledges for the same effect, all of which are rock. The light your sword creates is larger and brighter when you don't have a torch :). You can also craft a new torch at any time IF you have the supplies... however when you lack the supplies we prioritise the item drop by an enemy based on the supplies you currently have. So if you have less than 2 sticks, you need 1 for a torch, then it is very likely that the next enemy you defeat will give you sticks. Lastly, all the enemies you fight in the darkest areas have eyes that glow in the dark, so you can at least see where they are in the darkness :). In general, whenever we could, we tried to design into the gameplay ways around difficult situations, so that you always have a chance to rise above even the worst situations... although it isn't always easy... but to us that makes for the best gaming experiences and we hope, memories :).
