Gadaffi & Stalin werent perfect but they were socialists who were more democratic than the US and socialism revolves around democratizing the economy and workplace which is the most important element of society to democratize. "Political Democracy" is a myth, all countries are dictatorships and the biggest one is America. America is a dictatorship of the bourgoise, the bourgoise being the wealthy elite 1%. It takes $2B to fund a presidental campaign in America, which means that in order to be a presidental candidate for everyone to "choose" from you either have to be funded by the bourgoise or be part of the bourgeoise (the bourgoise being the wealthy 1%) so if all the presidental candidates are pre-selected by 0.0001% of the population, how is that democracy? Democratic elections in capitalist countries are basically like shows to distract the working class and minorities. Let me remind y'all that the wealthy 1% are mostly descendants of slave owners and only have their riches because of generational wealth which in America, most likely means generational wealth accumulated due to slavery. Do y'all understand now why republican legislation is being passed under "democratic" rule? Because even though the will of the democratic party is almost as evil as the republican party, it still isnt even in control when it gains power. The Republicans are the only ones in power because of this capitalist system. You should strongly look into Soviet Democracy and how its falsely labeled with the vague buzzword "totalitarian authoritarian dictatorship" by western politicans. Bashar is bad, but why support the free syrian army when the free syrian army is just as "undemocratic"? The free syrian army is allied with daeesh and ex3cutes Syrian religous and ethnic minorities (Christians, Shias, Alawites, Druze, Assyrians, Kurds, etc) how is that democratic? The democracy the t3rrorist FSA is marketing its campaign on clearly does not extend to Syrian minorities. Sure assad is bad but replacing one dictator with an even worse one is insanity and the free syrian army is bankrolled by the USA's government, of course these American Syrians are gonna support it, being biased towards the racist dictatorial american government is what they were fed by American educational institutions since kindergarden. I used to go to these protests all the time till I woke up and realized the propaganda I was being fed. I am begging everyone else sees what I see now after attending 150+ of these protests.
