Nice what was the brand of Hydraulic cooler u bought? I just got the FF15 mini...havent done anything with it yet.
Let me look tomorrow I'm the shop and I'll let you know. It's a 30l/min I got off Amazon. I post link tomorrow
@@johnjenkins8813 it's a Risen Brand and it's 30 Liter per minute. Just search on Amazon and get a 12 volt as They do make others for industrial applications that run on other currents.
@@redmanhomestead1966 30 L ok I been looking at 100L way more money lol maybe I dont need 1 that big?
@johnjenkins8813 these machines only got 5-6 gallon per minute pumps. 30 Liter per min is plenty.
@@redmanhomestead1966 ok thanks for the info.
If it gets the job done, then it is a great savings over the expensive alternative.
@@jacklabloom635 absolutely is. 👍 Thank you for viewing
Don't buy the crosscut reconditioning tools from the Crosscut Saw Company. Poor quality, and I'm being kind with that comment.
@@PATCsawyer 🤣🤣🤣🤣 sounds good and thanks for the information. I appreciate it.
A good two man saw is almost as fast as a chainsaw. Pick up the saw set at a fleamarket. They are often on $1 tables because people don't know what they are. Make a filing vise out of a couple of boards and some carriage bolts with wing nuts. I have colleted and used 2 man saws since the 1960s. Besure to wax the blades. A freshly waxed blade resists a little. After a couple of cuts, it glides through the kurf easily. Find a 4' saw that can be used by one man. When you're not in a hurry, it is a peaceful way to cut wood on a good saw buck. I find much better prices on tools at Tractor Swap Meets. Good Luck, Rick
@@richardross7219 thanks for the information. I'll definitely be on the lookout And get me a file vise going. All information is gladly accepted. I got me a warranted superior brand 4'. I'll also get me some wax for them
@@redmanhomestead1966 Those were good blades. I just use old candles for waxing. There are plenty of old carpentry books with good instructions on setting and filing saw teeth. I have 3 different sizes of saw tooth setting tools. They go by the tooth count. Good Luck, Rick
@@richardross7219 sound good I appreciate the advice! 👍
I was an electrician and I have probably 10-15lbs of wire scraps.
I heard fabric softener sheets suppose to work keeping them at bay.
Or, ya know, just get good at using a skilsaw. If you cant make a laser straight cut just following a line you aren’t invited to any finish days on my crew.
@@brycecube3276 people got to start somewhere. This video will help a beginning wood worker. You didn't start out like that. With time and experience we all get better. This video is more for the beginner or the weekend warrior. I'm sure you weren't born carrying a circular saw and chewing on a carpenter's pencil. Practice a little humility. 😉
I bet you own a table saw.... why ..... you should be able to laser that with a skill saw
@@redmanhomestead1966I think he was talking to the original comment 😅

@@The_Truth9711 very sad day.

I'm an electrician n I use a pouch almost just like that. But I have a little carabiner to a D ring with some string to hold different types of tape. And with a 10 in 1 your pretty much covered.
@@derekborow4121 thanks for backing me up 😂 I'm an dirt mover at heart. Just dabble in electric. So at least I look professional 😉
That's awesome, I live in Massachusetts, not far from Miller's falls. It was a big tool maker a long time ago. We still find them time to time.
@@stevemcneil1480 that's awesome 👍😎
Good find
@@ronnieroberts9478 thank ya!
Thanks for the video, would you use it without these modifications ?!!
@@ja4476 you could, but It will drastically shorten the life in my opinion. Hydraulic fluid is only good to about 140°F so a cooler will definitely help. If a person keep an eye on the temperature and made sure it was below that you would be fine. I would definitely replace the hydraulic fluid that's in it with a ISO 46 or 32 depending on your climate, as the Chinese oil in it was junk. Also the reason I installed a cooling fan for the engine compartment as gasoline boils at 122°F - 158°F. My goal is to keep it as cool as possible during the summer months. These machines where originally designed with a diesel motor that runs at cooler temps. Most like a Kubota or small Yanmar. They where switched to gas motors to meet EPA regulations. The cooling fan is also to keep the Briggs and Stratton XR at a decent operating temperature. At 5 hours I would change the Briggs to a 5w-30 synthetic for my climate. All mods are to improve the longevity of the machine. It will run as is though.
Indian motorcycle wrench is big money . Those are all a great score

Yes! Basically using the old line as a fish tape! 👍🏼
Most trailers secured wires with clips, not encased inside a conduit.
@@pdan3676 every trailer I've ever owned which I've had a few. Either had a conduit or had holes in the cross bracing for the wiring.
@@pdan3676 interesting to know though
I dont know about other trailers but the wires on mine are clipped in place so they dont drag on the ground.. no way can you pull the new in by oulling on the old.
@@jeffsim8664 every trailer I've ever owned, and I've had a few, from 16' bumper pulls to 35' goosenecks, had either a conduit or holes in the cross bracing for wiring to run through.
And to think, I trained a squirrel to pull my wire thru.. .
@@twothreefour234 well we gotta do what we gotta do. If it works it works 👍. Can I borrow him sometime 🤣
Of course, the real problem is that Biden then had your squirrel killed.
Anybody who is an electrician knows that exposed outdoor splicing is only temporary in the long term. Best to rewire the trailer with connections only in weather protected devices. Any one taking this advice will be doing this again in 5 years and is just plain lazy, a hack and is unprofessional.
@@ScottFinley-xe1kk sir I was just using the old wire to pull the new under the trailer so I didn't have to crawl around under the trailer. All new wire was installed, all splicing and connections where made and done with heat shrink connectors and done correctly. Thank you and have a nice day 😁
