Lenovo are known for their crap hinges. Actually it's the crap plastic they use for their housings that is responsible. I spent two hour gluing the hinges back together on my Lenovo after the display suddenly decided to declare its independence. The lesson here is, not to buy plastic Lenovos. Their aluminium laptops are probably alright though.

I just did the same things about 2 months ago with my old T410 and E420, I upgraded the ram and CPU inside. Thanks to the AliExpress this only costs me about 40 bucks to get I7-620M、I7--2760QM and two new rams.

This trend continued and ended with the 4940mx of something like that. In 2016, I had a single msata sager/clevo with a 4700mq and gpu was like an 870 mxm card or similar. Before I got that laptop, I wanted to get an msi 880 something laptop with triple msata, 44800mq/4900mq, and a 970 mxm card. Using the clevo in college was terrible with such poor battery. However that was my school and gaming computer. I was quite poor at that time.

Im typing this on an old ass HP EliteBook that has the ability for me to upgrade my CPU and honestly, Laptops NEED THIS. No more unupgradable laptops. I hate seeing so many people get locked down for years because they dont want to get rid of their laptop but their laptop gets slower and slower as the days go on.
