This is mainly a collection of dance videos, most of them being English Morris dances performed by sides I have danced with in the past or continue to dance with (C&M, HMM, LBR, RM, WoW) and one I sometimes play for (CG).
Other sides featured here are mostly ones I particularly like.

Pre-Xmas dancing at the 'Vic' Beeston 2024
Lady Bay Revellers organised their usual pre-Xmas dance gathering at the Victoria Inn, Beeston in 2024. Unfortunately several of the invited sides couldn't muster a dancing set, so it was left to four sides to entertain themselves, each other and some audience. The marquee was notably less crowded than usual.
Although Revellers kept dancing after the others had (presumably) run out of repertoire, I only shot one full dance from them as I was dancing myself in many of their sets.
If your social life is a bit dull, join your local Morris side! Most welcome new dancers at any time, but especially during the winter practice season.

Any Step Clog sides?
Not as such, no; but several North-West sides there and I know that at least one (Sweet Coppin) does some step clog. Nothing to stop you applying to dance there yourself next year!

The last time I attended a Ripley Ale, the BBC were there filming it for a food show.
That was a while back! 1999 I believe. You've missed a lot of good dancing in between. Sorry to say that this year's catering was definitely not up to the 1999 standard.

As it happens, yes. Quote: "The unusual name of the dance refers to the three hares symbol from the west country. Originating in Devon, the dance is now widely performed throughout the UK and is a dance for sets of three, facing inwards in a triangle." As it also happens, I was among 369 dancers who established the current Guinness world record for the most Morris dancers performing the same dance simultaneously. That was this dance, at Sheringham Lobster Potty Festival in 2018.

What's the music?
It's a tune more often used for Cotswold Morris dances called Banks of the Dee. You can find numerous versions of that dance online; if you want the notation we use you can find it here: www.wayofthewyrd.co.uk/documents/
