I bought the 115 a couple years ago, I figured I didn't need the NCV or Low Z functions of the 117. In hindsight I probably would have saved the money toward an 87 instead, which is more suited to electronics use.

Fluke has just told me that the inrush function on DC amps is only for industrial dc motors. I have clamped a Fluke 376-FC on my Honda Odyssey's negative cable and started the vehicle while measuring inrush and only got 3.78 Amps-which I know is wrong. What is the difference between a car's starter motor (dc) and an industrial dc motor other than their power rating? Why won't fluke tell me why said function doesn't work. Is this a meter defect or have they not been honest in their marketing? Be wary of the dc inrush function as I cannot seem to get it to work or as the tech told me-use the min/max function.
Hey. Mine Fluke 87V have problem. On "Diode mode" I hear buzzer when connect both cables. Is this normal?
Thanks for making these videos. I watched part I and II and I don’t think I saw a demo of how to use the inrush function. Could you make a video on inrush in the future??
I have a regular Fluke 87-V and a 289 that both cost a fortune so no more fluke meters for me I am set. I now usually buy Rigol and Siglent test equipment now.
