I think this is going to help me. Thank you.
I appreciate your honesty w the issues you have w/ the wheels rubbing. Thank you for the vid!
@@kuyaraythedj No problem! Thanks for watching and it’s a bummer that it rubs but you learn to live with it and it’s only in pot holes and sharp turns haven’t had to change the tires since I posted this video they are still going strong 💪🏻
What did you use to get the glue off after removing the lens
@@BenitoAmador-lk6vu so to remove it put it back in the oven for about 5 min or less you don’t want the glue too soft cuz it will make a mess and won’t completely come off and just warm enough to scrape it off with a flathead and keep cleaning the flathead so it dosent get stuck onto it good luck!
Very in depth video, was no help whatsoever thanks to your awesome camera holding ability and lack of showing anything useful
@@Rickdiamond07 I had one minute friend anyways remove the 3 screws unplug it, then the blower fan is pressed on I laid the motor on 2 concrete blocks holding it in the air make sure it’s not touching the floor and the blower fan facing up and I hammered the pin in the middle with a Phillip screw driver or something of that size until it came off be gentle don’t damage the blower motor because then it won’t press on how it should hope this helps a little bit
It's in front/below the glove box. There's a regulator too ua-cam.com/video/oAFRwnOb1H0/v-deo.html

You need to turn the music down and you don’t unscrew it you pop off the clip
Hopefully this dosent come off as rude but you can mute it and thank you for you’re input will keep in mind 👍🏻
Where did you purchase the rocker panel from?
Hondapartsnow.com if it’s out of stock look up the part number on google and there’s other Honda Acura websites that might have it hope you find one good luck!
Hello.. I have a problem with a Toyota Tokoma. I was driving for two hours and stopped for a break.. and when I returned to the car, the engine was running but did not start.. Is the problem like what is in the video..
Thx bro it worked for my 06
What is the color of that blue wrap? I want to do that to my ek hatch
Vvivid is the company name and the color is called gloss Smurf blue and yellow is 3M gloss bright yellow both great vynils
@@gabrieltowers3966 thank you for replying. I already have an ek hatch in y56 paint job. The blue vinyl will really pop. I love your build. It inspired me to do the same
Hey nice work bringing this thing back from its bondo-filled past. Question for you: did you have any trouble sourcing the rocker panel? It seems many parts sites show the R panel as being discontinued and the L backordered (hopefully not to be discontinued).
Thanks for the support ! I never had trouble finding the part I just put the part number and it sent me to some sketchy sites that were Honda and Acura oem and i ended up going with one of those websites and even though they had them in stock they did message me that they didn’t have them and had to order from another company i still got my part. You should message the company that have them out of stock sometimes they can help you locate one hope this helps!
Hey man thanks for the video. I'm in the process of wanting to do this too. I bought cheap ebay ap2 headlights but want my ap1 projectors for better cutoff and brightness of course. Were you able to swap the internals to the cheap ones? If so, how was the process? Do you need to realigned the beam?
Yes I bought the cheap ones as well for an ap2 I plan on making a video on that process but from my understanding is you can swap the internals which was my plan while changing the amber marker for the jdm style clear one and once you remove insides you should have access to the beams to align them hope this helps thanks for watching!
I'm trying to look for adapter spacers like those but I can't find them. Could you help me and tell me where to buy them. They are for a 2006 Tacoma. I want to do the same process. thank you

This is the link to the ones I bought exactly and the 5 lug Tacomas should be the same from 1995 to 2015 so these should work fine just make sure whatever wheels you’re using use the lug pattern 6x5.5
i appreciate it so much @@gabrieltowers3966
Exhaust manifold always cracks on this motor. Otherwise it’s great.
Do you experience any vibration with the adapters ?
No vibration I have probably the biggest tires you can run which is 33 inches
Have you had any issues with the adapters ?
No issues they been working great I haven’t messed with them since I installed them
Okay thanks would you recommend using thread locker on the Allen bolts
Hey whats up, do you know what could be the issue with my 01 runner. The headlights would not turn on at all. The only time they would turn on is when I put the car in drive and the drl comes on
So make sure you checked all you’re fuses for headlights taillights and DRL and cluster since it’s all connected first if you done that also check all you’re grounds on you’re headlights and taillights could be something as simple as that if not start switching bulbs around could be a short somewhere make sure wires aren’t chewed up let me know if you figure it out
@@gabrieltowers3966 so ive checked fuses, relays, headlight switch and tail lights do work. Only thing i havent checked were grounds and the cluster
I’ve had problems with taillights before and it was a ground problem on my Tacoma i would think that could be the same problem with you’re headlights but I’ve also had one bulb go bad and effect the other bulb on the other side and I just bought a new one and started working but if you already checked all that then has to be one of those 2 things
Hi man I have a question will this work on a 2013 Tacoma 2wd as well?
Yes it should I don’t know the lug pattern for the 2013 is different but just make sure you get you’re trucks lug pattern and the wheels you’re gonna put on lug pattern correctly so it can fit
Another question man do I have to buy the lug nuts separately and if so what size or do you have a link to them?
@@adriangutierrez2264 so it comes with a full set of lug nuts for the first adapter than the 2nd adapter where you’re wheel is gonna sit I had to buy new ones to fit the 2020 wheels I bought mine at my local oriellys you can also try junkyard but if I had to guess since you’re truck is a 2013 you should have those type of lug nuts as far as lug thread size I think most Tacomas run M12-1.50 just make sure when you buy the adapter it has that exact thread size let me know if you need a link to something 👍🏻
Thanks that is helpful. I will.
I have a 2003 tacoma and my headlights are not working too. Will this work on my truck?
I’m pretty sure the diagrams should be close on the fuse boxes for these trucks just check the fuses inside you’re truck first check all of them sometimes they have the dash lights connected to the headlights if those are good then try changing the same relay as I did in the video don’t buy one at the store or online cuz it’s alot of money I went to a local junkyard got 2 for a $1
Every day , it's getting closer, taking a bath with an electric toaster
💯☠️
Thanks boss appreciate the encouragement gonna need it for this build lol
Ayyyye...not bad. Harbor freight ain't bad for some stuff man. I'm not made of money. Good luck with the Datsun build man.
I got the same lift kit and added 235/70/16 tires. One thing I do notice is at 60-65mph, it does vibrate a bit more than the old set up. I'm still keeping it on a few months since for local drive, it's perfect. Another detail to note is that first gen tacomas are hub-centric while later models are lug-centric and when putting lug centric wheels on hub centric wheels, it will vibrate a bit more.
I forgot one way to fix this is to get a hub centric ring. I got a OD 106mm to 78mm (which should fit to the spacer's size).
Thanks for the info, yeah this setup is definitely just a daily thing not so much to beat up which I have done a bit and has held up fine hopefully you can get that vibration fixed you’re running the perfect tire for the setup
Awesome I'm getting the same torch kit for my 5 lug Tacoma for a tiny lift. Why did you get a 5-to-6 lug adapter, is it mainly for access to more wheels type?
Yeah the kit works really well great lift in the back the front spacer I wish would be about 1 inch higher but still enough room and I just wanted those model wheels and didn’t really wanna sell and buy a 6 lug especially since this 4cyl is a gas saver 😎
Appreciate the video! Just saw your comment about you purchasing and accord handle for a replacement. How is it holding up currently? Just bought replacement handles off eBay and curious
No difference in the handles anywhere everything lines up how it should might be stronger than OEM cuz I broke both on my s2k to easy and I haven’t had a problem with these have had them on since I made the video 4 years ago so yeah cheap and easy to find door handle thanks for watching!👍🏻
@@gabrieltowers3966 that is awesome to hear and appreciate the quick response! Keep up the good work man 👏🏼
UA-cam to the rescue yet again. Great video. 1 minute after watching it was out on both sides. Great video my friend. Thanks
How’s is it treating you soo far??
No problems I do have the rubbing still on potholes but that’s just me being stubborn and staying with the 33 inch tires but besides that truck has driven flawless
Uhh that is not a conversion. Those are adapters.
Tomato tamato my friend lol
Awesome video! I’m the new owner of a base model 1998 Tacoma 5 lug 2WD that has been in my family. I’m using it as a work truck, but was wondering what is the performance difference from switching from 5 to 6 lug? What’s the max you can lift the truck without changing out the suspension system? Maybe I should have got a pre runner 😂
Thanks! Yeah the only reason I went base was for gas besides that definitely worth going pre runner this is more for looks than performance rides the same but with these spacers i wouldn’t dare going off-road or anything crazy does hold pretty good if you’re hauling something I think you can get 1inch before having to mess with suspension but that would be with cab spacers wouldn’t recommend that. the lift kit i installed is picked it up about a inch with the spaced that goes in the suspension and about 1.5 inches in the back I’m running the 33 inch tires all around good in the back rubs in the front with some pot holes so definitely go smaller tires I’m still running it with those tires it’s my daily haven’t had any problems with the adapters or the lift kit but not many options for our base 🙃
How did u found those spacers???? Thanks

280z dash removal...
Yeah it’s a 280z it’s just the car I got is a 240z with a 280z rear conversion so you’re not wrong thanks for watching 👍🏻
That’s two things, RICED and GAY
What lift is that? I’ve been trying to find one to level my 97. Thanks.

This is the link on eBay to the kit I bought it’s specifically for the 2wd Tacoma’s same company has them for the 4x4 tacomas
What do you have to do to remove the other part attached to the lens cover?? Does it screw out?
Yes it does have screws you just remove those that’s my plan I wanna do a clear lens conversion for the blinker I will be doing a video on that soon 👍🏻
I have a thing where if I have cruise control on and turn on headlights it turns off cruise. Cruise cannot work anymore while headlights are on
Definitely a short somewhere between the headlights and the cruise control and whatever is connected to the same circuit so if you messed with any of these things I would start there make sure everything is connected right or nothing is missing let me know if you have anymore questions ! 👍🏻
is there a link for the5 lugs to 6 lugs
www.ebay.com/itm/310669115463?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=7cDziYpFRLq&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=aVFiEKjkRHW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY I got mine from eBay there’s some other company’s who make them as well you could check them out but these are the ones I have give me no problems ofcourse if it’s not for a Tacoma make sure the bolt pattern works
Hey boss does this work for a 2007 2wd base model 5Lug ?
I had the same question too for my tacoma 2011 2wd 5 lug
ua-cam.com/video/GYTEUOfcOwA/v-deo.html Link to full video 😛
Good job
Appreciate it🙏🏻
I'm doing this exact same thing to my 2004 2WD Xtra cab. Only difference is that I'm going with much smaller tires 225/70 R16 so no rubbing or fender mods. Rims also a different 3rd gen Tacoma design
Yes I’m definitely going back down in tire size once I have to change them I was running a 245 before these and that had slight rubbing so I would say maybe 235 would be the perfect size but definitely going 225 you’ll be on the safer side all these 3rd gen Tacoma wheels look spectacular on our 1st gen good luck on you’re build 👍🏻
@@gabrieltowers3966 What torque spec did you use for the hex bolts? And did you end up using loc-tite?

How come?
How did you compress the spring to connect the control arm?
I used the spring compressor set you just need to put it in the correct location to be able to connect the arm and then remove the spring compressor not easy you might need to do some hammering and a jack can help as well
wish my z3 looked this clean
Just deep cleaning with degreaser but I would recommend dry ice blasting seems to do the job very well 👌🏻
Hey, how did you get on with this in the end? I need to replace my rust infested trunk pan too.
I will be doing a video on the installation part of it but my plan is too drill out holes on the new pan to spot weld in the same area the old spot welds are
Great video. Does the patch need any curvature or just a simple flat piece works?
Thank you ! And Leave it flat
Great job man fr
Thank you man 🙏🏻
You could of just bought ap2 ebay conversion lights and call it a day.
The conversion was already done by the previous owner but did a pretty bad job over cutting letting leaks in if not yeah I would much rather go that route thanks for the comment 👍🏻
Look into " how to get more views on UA-cam" You don't have your videos set up right in the descriptions. You have good content , so watch the internet guru's . You need to tweak some minor settings that will increase your views, by a large percentage..,..good luck.
Something I’ll definitely look into I don’t really understand the whole UA-cam algorithm thing so I’m positive you’re right thanks for the comment and watching the videos!
