The whole khavarena and enkanomiya ost were made by other composers, they'll be just fine

thisss, i realized quite soon (when yu peng chen was still in hoyoteam) that in my genshin playlist, the song is dominated with 'hoyo-mix'

Thank you for this and for putting in all the effort to credit each of the composers. I love Yu Peng Chen's work, and I understand a lot of people are sad that he's gone, but I wish they could learn to praise him without tearing down all of the hardworking composers still working with the HOYO-Mix team. The music was what kept me playing Genshin back in 1.0, and it's what keeps me playing now in 4.1 going into 4.2, even without Yu Peng Chen.

Um funny thing, when Enkanomiya first came out. I uh- replaced the soundtrack.. with Howl's moving castle. Now when I listen to Merry go round of Life I get an immense nostalgic flashback of my time exploring Enkanomiya lol

Thank you for this. Yu Peng Chen was clearly brilliant, buht there was so much music and production, arrangement and orchestration work that clearly went into the soundtrack outside of him, so I knew there was clearly other extremely tallented individuals working alongside him atleast to some degree. There was also just fairly diverse musical stylings among the different compositions, even as they felt cohesive overall, but it was nice tou see the exact credits to the specific composers who did the different works for the game. I really really diyg the concept Hoyomix has going on, as having multiple composers who handle different parts of the soundtrack makes for goud collaborative competition I'd bet, as you are working alongside and vaguely competing with your peers as your works are going to be brushed up against eachother, incentivizing each composer to innovate and bring their best alongside one another. 🤘🤘

No offence to YPC but ost of Enkanomiya is and will be the best realesed out there (tho khaenriah might have similar vibe), so the future of genshin music should have nothing to worry about.

People keep discrediting the rest of Hoyo-Mix because of Yu-Peng Chen, which I honestly think is a disgrace and underestimates how diversely talented Hoyo-Mix is. I mean yeah, YPC carried the soundtrack until 3.2, but it doesn't mean people should disregard the rest. Dimeng Yuan is clearly continuing the topnotch quality, and never forget Ziyu Che, the vocalist behind music like Maidens of Sanctity and majority of Fontaine's 4.0 underwater tracks. Hoyo-Mix isn't just about Yu-Peng Chen.

I did not know he didn't compose Enkanomiya. He's still my favorite composer but I must applaud the composer for Enkanomiya. The way the music got me in a chokehold for months.

The music 100% changed, and this isn't a bad thing at all! Everyone has their own little touch on music, and the new touches are gonna be just as good as Yu Peng Chen's :)

I personally always love enkanomiya ost...or sometimes just walk around to listen to the music idk...it feels serene, nostalgic, dreamy, angst, overall peaceful with a distant and longing melody 🥲 like all hope is lost but you're there trying to reach it...

Genshin music will take a dip in quality for sure, lets not say the talent of any composer, director or musician can be replaced
