The brooch absolutely resembles a piece of crumpled and crushed giftwrap. It is poorly designed and not accomplished, which leads one to perhaps conclude that the piece is a DEI move. Also the designer has certainly not earned a place in the Pantheon alongside Schlumberger, Toussaint, Belperron, and the like..
What a strange and revealing comment. "I don't like this brooch so therefore the artist isn't talented and likely only is featured because she's not white". Your comment says far more about you than it does about the artist or her work.

It's strange, but, nobody sheds a tear for a jewelry! A real stoned jewel makes you "arrogant"! It's not meant for the "poor" and the "spiritted"! It symbolizes beauty and stature, and allure of life!!! But, when one "cries" for it, probably from a stature and prominence, of a "beautiful human being, or the love of wealth!!!!
