When you said "Where's Hades" I instantly thought "Well, he's right infront of ya." When I first met Emet-Selch in the story, I really didn't like him, but the more he got screentime the more his story got fleshed out and the more I started to change my mind about him. At the end he became my favorite antagonist, what a insanely well written character and amazing voice acting. Glad you enjoyed Shadowbringers as much as I have.

Very underrated line in the boss fight, after after the ATM - "that light split the world, and every life upon it!" It's genuinely *obscene* to Emet, that blessing. It's the highest blasphemy. From his point of view, Hydealyn *literally genocided the Ancients* when she sundered the world The post-fight cut scene is also a love letter to years of world-building (or hours of grinding through it if you joined in Shb as I did) - destroying Emet faithfully following a set of rules that they laid out *in ARR patch content* The Nodders in response to Emet's dying words were about the best earned and emotional in the game. So many times I watched WoL just Nod when I as a player would have wanted to speak. In that moment, I couldn't have spoken if I wanted to; just a solemn nod and promise.

Nah this is a FF game? These characters look uncanny and weird to me. FFVII and X had some hot characters tho

Krile coming in clutch here, she mustve been so exhausted constantly trying to keep their aEther in check, like she couldnt literally go a stones throw from that building. I feel for her and her talking about them made me cry, but Tataru mustve been utterly destroyed having to helplessly watch her doing that.

Since it was cut, did you realize it was Emet-Selch that saved us during the trial? I didn't catch it my first time, but it should have been obvious with not just the snap, but the icon hand wave that only he does.

Everytime I watch someone watch the EW trailer for the first time it just brings me back, it brings tears. What a beautiful wonderful experience they gave us.

Summoning Elidibus, in hindsight, even by accident, is no surprise. 0:04:55 - G'raha is from the Source. He is from a time where there were 8 Rejoinings. His soul is more whole, therefore more dense. Though not as dense as ours..... 0:25:00 - Your editor removed one of the most important scenes? That stone, created by Emet-Selch and given to us by the Shade of Hythlodeus, is the single most important weapon in our arsenal, and the mother of all lore bombs. 0:49:00 - "This I swore to....to someone." To the Convocation. To it's most important member. 0:50:00 - Editor strikes again. "You've no fight left to fight." 0:53:00 - OK, editor, this is too much cutting. Cutting out us summoning Emet=Selch from the Ethereal Sea, just to summon our party back from the Void. Literally the moment most people freak out about. 0:56:00 - Elidibus was literally a child. Or, much younger than the rest of the convocation. It puts his sacrifice even more in perspective. Great video overall, just wish alot of important stuff wasnt cut. I admit though.....I think you are the only person I have seen so far that thinks Asahi is "hot". Dude had a Zenos obsession worse than Zenos' obsession with us.

Many didn't quite grasp what was going on with Emet-Selch and his relationship to the WoL. (I am speaking in the context of 5.0, so NO SPOILERS!) Ryne said our soul had begun to break apart, yet it is somehow restored. Imagine filling in those cracks with something to bind it all together. That was Ardbert's purpose all along. Minfilia, as Word of the Mother, knew this and forced him to wait for the right moment, when all hope was lost.....to give hope. And that's what he did. And that, I think, was the true test Emet-Selch put before us. And we will remember that WE once lived.

When Emet Selch said: Remember, Remember us Remember that we once lived. He wants you to carry on their legacy, their hopes and dreams, by keeping them alive in memory. Emet Selch is not a bad person, he just wanted to bring his loved ones back 😢 Btw he’s such a damn good antagonist 🤝🤝

There's so much in this ending that's easy to miss.... "Who are you? No one nothing!" "Weary wanderer, you've not fight left to fight, no life left to live." Emet's lines were in the trailer this whole time! Emet saying to cast aside titles and pretenses, then the fight is just "Hades" with no title. No "Lord of the Crags | Titan" or the like, just his true name. When he's defeated and asks you remember them, he's standing up straight and no longer slouching. The burden's lifted from his shoulders and he's entrusting it to you, who have indeed proven themselves worthy in his eyes. Urianger is actually floating in the water on the left side of the screen at the beach just before the transition! ;) When Ardbert is walking to join his comrades, the blood is no longer on his axe. It's no longer stained with guilt. ("For whom weeps the storm, Her tears on our skin. The days of our years gone, Our souls soaked in sin. These memories ache with the weight of tomorrow") Remember, the Ascian - Elidibus - was in Zenos' body. That's who you fought at the end of Stormblood. And, by the Shadowbringers trailer, you defeated him. That drove the Empire to desperation and they unleashed Black Rose, ultimately killing all the Scions and the Warrior of Light. That's the timeline future G'raha is from and was looking to prevent. So in his attempt, he knocked you out during the fight and Estinien saved you from Elidibus-Zenos. BUT this whole time you've had that elezen body that Zenos was in! He was making his way back to the Empire and confronted Elidibus in his own body. When Elidibus chose to abandon it, Zenos soul transferred himself back to his body with the Resonance (which was how he jumped to the elezen body after his death to begin with). And for an extra tidbit, remember that soul transferrence was first established back with the Sahagin Priest being killed and moving his soul to take over another sahagin....before Leviathan ate him. And Black Rose will no longer be utilized because Zenos sees it as a cowardly weapon that would ruin his hunt.

You only THINK you're close to Endwalker.... Shadowbringers is not yet done with your emotions. It has only just begun. . . . . O_O
